I have been teaching for almost four decades, and I am still fascinated and inspired by sharing the flute with my students. My teachers include Claude Monteux, Samuel Baron, Marcel Moyse, Albert Tipton, Jean Pierre Rampal, and Keith Underwood. I have played in major orchestras in New York, Colorado, Oregon, and San Francisco.

I have a life long passion for the sound of the flute, and have been very lucky to have had some legendary teachers. I love passing on the tradition of great flute playing. I have played in symphony orchestras around the country, recorded albums, performed with chamber music groups, and taught at elementary, middle schools, high schools, and colleges. I enjoy teaching all levels, focusing on developing a beautiful tone, an ear for pitch and rhythm, exposure to the repertoire, and the fun of ensemble playing.

Beverly is amazing. She is more than a flute teacher. She is a life coach, a mentor, a friend and an inspiration. She recognized and encouraged both my girls to reach the levels that they wanted. Prianca continued to learn the flute till she graduated high school and Kavya learned till her sophomore year in high school. They both loved Beverly's lessons and we owe her much.

My son has been taking flute lessons from Miss Beverly for five years, and we couldn't be happier. Not only is she a terrific teacher with impeccable credentials, she's a wonderful person. She has a delightful sense of humor, is kind, and always seems to know the right thing to say. Sometimes that is encouragement, sometimes sympathy, and sometimes it's a little push. Miss Beverly's broad knowledge of the world of music is a big bonus. We look forward to our lessons each week.

Beverly Jacobs is a terrific  teacher.  She has worked with our daughter Sabina for over three years and kept her inspired in music and with the flute. She is easy to be around and has become a friend to our whole family. My daughter looks forward to her lessons and has made a lot of progress working with Beverly. She has a large range of knowledge about flute repertoire and technique.

Beverly has been a terrific teacher for our daughter. She keeps her positive and motivated. Also, I am very impressed at how she offers more than just instruction on the flute. Her love of music and passion for the flute come through in her teaching. My daughter looks forward to her coming and has improved over the years because of Beverly. I highly recommend Beverly. She is brilliant.

Beverly is a creative and dedicated teacher who works well with all ages and all levels of flute players.  I highly recommend her!

We were so lucky to have Beverly for our teenaged daughter's flute and piccolo instructor.  She was always positive, cheerful, and supportive of not only Melissa's musical abilities, but also with her life overall.  Melissa played through high school with the symphonic band and entered local competitions, winning individual and duet awards.  I do believe her positive experience with Beverly kept her interest in music going much longer than it would have on her own.  Melissa is in college now and does not play on a regular basis, but every so often she will pull out her flute and play a favorite piece.  It makes me miss Beverly's weekly visits, as she became a good friend, and I am thankful that Beverly had such a good influence on our daughter.

Beverly taught flute to my teenage daughter for several years.  She is an excellent musician and was reliable, patient and kind toward my daughter.  I highly recommend Beverly for both beginning and more advanced players.
