Learn drums & percussion while getting epic videos for your social media! (See bio for samples)

We're fortunate as drummers and percussionists to play the most fun instrument on the planet. My studio focuses largely on that---really ENJOYING playing music. And the best way to enjoy it? By getting GOOD!! So what do I mean by "drums & percussion?" I'm classically trained at Indiana University's Jacobs School of Music which is THE powerhouse music school for producing well rounded percussionists. We're talking everything from drumset, orchestral percussion, marimba, marching percussion, Latin percussion, composition, and everything in between. YOU get to pick what we work on, and if you're not sure, we can do a little bit of everything to find what clicks with you. Ok, now the really cool part. Included in each month of lessons, you will get an epic video for your social media. Yes these videos can help you show off to your friends and family, but it's also the absolute best way to improve as a musician because you can practice using your ears as you listen back and analyze yourself. You can see example videos from my own practice diary at siphon-music dot com. (Can't put a hyperlink here, sorry!) Ok! That's my pitch, looking forward to hearing back from you!

    About Ben R.

Hey! I'm a professional percussionist who's toured through 30 cities across the United States and Japan, and I have always loved teaching. I believe us drummers and percussionists are the luckiest musicians because our instruments are the most satisfying and fun to play. I started on piano as a small kid, but once I picked up sticks, there was no turning back. One of my favorite things about percussion is how many different styles and instruments we get to play. Just about every genre of music has a drum of some kind in it, so we rarely get bored. And I think that's the secret to getting really good at an instrument. It HAS to be fun, otherwise what's the point?
