Bass Guitar with Ben H.

I have taught bass, guitar, ukelele, recording, and rock band classes in several contemporary music school programs for over three years. I have discovered that I have a strong passion for teaching. Watching my students progress as musicians is the single most rewarding experience of my music career. . I studied bass guitar with renowned bassist Ryan Beck for 8 years and also took lessons on guitar, upright bass, and voice. I hold two certificates from Berklee School of Music; a Specialist Certificate in General Musical Studies and a Professional Certificate in Production With Ableton Live. From my home studio I produce my both my band and compositions for tv and radio. My song "City Lights" was recently used in a television spot for The Federal Way Chamber of Commerce. My most notable performance work is with alt-country rockers, The Hasslers, in which I am the audio engineer, producer and bass player. I single-handedly recorded, mixed, and produced our 2016 album, "State Center", which has received radio play across the US and positive attention from notable music blogs such as Northwest Music Scene. Stephen Carradini of Independent Clauses placed the album in his Top of 2016 list. With The Hasslers I have shared the stage with national touring acts such as Jason Isbell, Blitzen Trapper, Langhorne Slim and The Law, and The Cave Singers I have also been an in-demand session player in numerous professional musical theater productions including Hair, Grease, and Phantom of The Opera. Finally, after giving all my credentials, I'm a fun easygoing person! I want to build lessons around music that you are passionate about and have fun playing these songs with you.
