I enjoy passing on wisdom gained from years of playing in professional bands and studying music to people of all ages. I continue to strive to push the limits of my playing, and encourage my students to do the same. I maintain a relaxed, anxiety-free teaching style that is focused on the individual goals of each student, no matter what their level of experience and stylistic preferences might be.
About Ben C.

As an educator, I have taught lessons, clinics, and rock band classes for over 19 years. I proudly endorse Kiesel Guitars, Peavey Amplification, GHS Strings, and Dunlop Accessories. I graduated from Berklee College of Music in 2009 with a degree in Professional Music. I have been passionately teaching guitar lessons since 2000, as well as teaching band classes and clinics at Plugged In Band Program in Needham, MA from 2005 to 2018. I picked up my first guitar at the age of 13, and has been addicted to it ever since. I currently play guitar for internationally touring video game metal band Powerglove, as well as nationally touring progressive metal band Lattermath. Prior to moving to Los Angeles in January 2019, I was based in Boston, playing in a number of critically-acclaimed bands. In high school, I studied guitar with Joe Stump, ranked as the Number 6 Fastest Shredder of All Time by Guitar One magazine, as well as traveling to Sweden in 2008 to study with Mattias "IA" Eklundh, recognized as one of the most innovative guitarists in the world today. I play guitar for Video Game Metal band PowerGlove, as well as modern progressive metal band Lattermath. PowerGlove tours the US and Canada regularly with bands such as Dragonforce, mc chris, Symphony X, and Sonata Arctica. They have played on the Summer Slaughter Tour, and have appeared at Video Game, anime and Comic conventions such as PAX East, MAGFest, Youmacon, A&G Ohio and New York Comic Con. Recently, they’ve appeared on the 70,000 Tons of Metal Cruise, and at the SXSW Gaming Festival.
