I help people of all levels and ages make beautiful music on the violin!

I have been playing the violin since I was two years old, and teaching violin for thirty years! I also play piano and cello. I have developed an unparalleled passion and precision to my teaching approach. I teach throughly, including music reading, theory, musicianship and of course technique and repertoire in the lessons. As a professional musician, I play in the Norwalk Symphony Orchestra and freelance throughout Fairfield and Westchester Counties. I have run three music schools for children and now teach privately online and in my home. I am active in the local business and arts communities.

I have taught nearly a thousand students of all ages, levels and ability levels. I work with my students to find the time and develop the discipline to make regular progress. No talent necessary - learn at your own pace! I excel at efficient lessons and teaching you how to practice efficiently to make maximum progress with minimum time investment. I am happy to answer questions in between lessons, including reviewing a short video with a question and/or answering with a quick video to demonstrate the answer.

Becki has taught violin to my nieces and nephew for many years and they are all exceptional musicians as a result. While a beginning adult student, I got a few words of advice about my playing from Becki at an informal musical event which we both attended. I was smitten. The instruction she shared was exquisite! I immediately understood what a great teacher is. When I said that I wished that I lived closer so that I too could study with her, she responded, "We could do it over Skype!" And so we do. I've been studying Suzuki violin with her since. I'm so grateful that the technology is available to us to make this possible.
