Hi, My name is Lovejoy and I have been helping first-time and beginner painters for over a decade discover their creative talents. Painting is a great way to relax and balance out the stresses of daily life. I offer positive feedback and encouragement as I help you step out of your comfort zone and learn a new skill. Do you need a constructive critique? Schedule a session, and I will give you an overview of your strengths in the selection of work you show me, and directions to pursue to improve and strengthen your skills. A critique is not a session where your artwork is torn apart and told how bad it is, a critique is a place to discuss where you have come from, where your skills are now, and how to move forward to accomplish your goals. If you would like to have a critique discussion please schedule a session via zoom or a travel session where I come to your studio or home. I also offer consultations for starting your own creative business as I have been a freelancer and supporting myself on my creative talents for over 20 years. I can help you with branding, consistency, and how to be professional as a freelancer. I ran a successful studio in Liberty Station, San Diego, CA for 7 years. I taught, sold original art, and held monthly art critiques for the artist in the district. I closed at the beginning of the pandemic to pursue more online options, (like Take lessons.)
