    About Batmyagmar E.

My name is Miga, and I am a violin/viola teacher with BM in Viola Performance(Oberlin College), MM(Yale University) in Viola Performance and MM/Advanced Certificate Diploma(Bard College) in ORCHESTRAL Performance. I have been teaching beginners(5yo) to college level students in the last 10 years. Past teaching experiences include - Teaching secondary viola lessons at Oberlin and Yale, - All City Orchestra(Yale) Program, Private lessons, String Orchestra - Morse Summer Music Academy(Yale), Private lessons, Chamber Music and String Orchestra - Violin and Viola instructor at Mongolian State Conservatory - I enjoy discussing violin/viola posture, setup, bow hold, vibrato and bow strokes with my students, because there is no one way of doing all of that. Everyone has different body types, and finding a good setup and instruments to their own body is crucial to feel comfort while practicing, PERFORMING and having a lesson. - Musicality is something you can learn, but it is most important that it feels right to the performer when performing different styles of music, and it can't get in the way of one's creativity. - For me, teaching music is an activity where I myself also learn new things, challenge my creativity, but most importantly enjoy making music in a different environment as compared to performing on state.
