Everyone has a beautiful voice. Let me teach you how to make it heard.
My passion for music is the most pervasive quality of my personality. Consequently, passing that passion on to others is what brings me the most joy in life. My goal is to spread the love and appreciation for this unique and transcending art form through guidance, performance, and instruction. As my student, you will receive exactly what you (or your child) want out of the lessons-you are the one controlling what you want from them (be it any style of music, professional track or just for fun, music theory, and performance) and I am there to provide it. Music is nothing short of extremely fun and completely liberating.
I have always loved to sing and play guitar and piano starting from a young age, and I never gave up my determination and passion for performing. In middle and high school I did many musicals (Jekyll and Hyde, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Oliver, Miss Saigon, Little Shop of Horrors, Footloose, Kiss Me Kate, and Cats) and sang in the choir (including the California All State Honor Choir and Jazz Choir). I played guitar in the school Jazz Band and participated in many jam sessions out of school. I also participated in many piano competitions, including ones for my own composition (I received an honorable mention for one of my own piano works). In college, I received a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Redlands. I have recently completed my Master of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of Redlands. I have performed many opera roles including Suor Angelica in Puccini's Suor Angelica, Violetta in Verdi's La Traviata, the Queen of the Night in Mozart's The Magic Flute, and Fiordiligi in Mozart's Cosi Fan Tutte, and Najade in Strauss' Ariadne auf Naxos. I was also in the University Chapel Singers Choir, Madrigals Choir, and Treblemakers a Capella Jazz choir. I currently reside in Germany where I am teaching online lessons to students all over the world, teaching English, and pursuing an opera career. So far I have sung the role of the Queen of the Night in Weimar, Germany and have done a few concerts singing Christine from the Phantom of the Opera.
"Hard work beats talent if talent does not work hard." This is my favorite quote. I truly believe that hard work will take you anywhere, no matter where your starting point is. With hard work and determination, you can be anything you want to be. With motivation, anyone can be a beautiful singer, guitarist, and pianist. If I did not believe this with all my heart, I would not be where I am today. To me, every student has great potential. It is my job and joy to bring out that potential and cultivate it into talent, love, and passion.
My lessons are fun and rewarding. I do not believe that a critical environment is one that is healthy or pleasant to learn in. Therefore, I am a very encouraging, patient, and supportive teacher, and I will praise you for your improvements, as well as help you correct your difficulties. I like to think of my lessons as a team effort, with more emphasis on working together and having fun. With that being said, I believe that you get what you put in out of our lessons. The more you practice and the more you show me determination and motivation, the more we can have fun, improve technique, and really make music in our lessons.
I customize each lesson to my student, so you tell me what you want to sing or play and what your goals as a musician are, and I will instruct you (or your child) in the exact way that fits your goals and interests. After a couple months with me, you will have a new found passion for music, knowledge of proper technique, reading and diction, and the skills to perform and communicate pieces of music. Most importantly, you will have the time of your life!
My voice lessons consist of vocal warm-ups where you learn proper technique and posture, breathing exercises to expand your diaphragm and support when you sing, and Repertoire work where you apply the technique you learned, practice performance skills, and learn diction of English, Italian, German, Hebrew, or French.
My guitar and piano lessons start with learning how to read music (if you do not know already) and being familiar with the keys or frets and the notes on the staff. Then we work on pieces of music, paying attention to the key factors of musicianship including rhythm, interpretation, dynamics, composition, musicality, and performance practice. My music theory lessons are based on whatever the student wants to learn or needs instruction on. I teach anywhere from basic music notation to advanced harmonic and formal analysis.
My speaking and lessons are similar to my voice lessons, minus the singing aspect-the same technique we use for singing is the technique we must use for speaking if we want to be heard, be healthy, and not get tired or worse - lose our voice. We work on breathing and projection techniques and then practice on a reading sample or presentation.
My acting lessons consist of different improv-acting games, projection techniques, and monologue and role studies. You will learn how to communicate a message to the audience clearly and effectively while having a wonderful time!
My language and tutoring classes are focused on fluency-getting comfortable speaking in the target language. We go through chapters of a lesson plan I created myself-learning vocabulary and grammar by learning the functions of them and completing speaking goals. After just a few lessons, you will find that you will be able to converse in your target language. Your individual pace is the most important to me, so we learn at the speed that you are the most comfortable with.
All I expect from you is to bring a pencil, a good attitude, and the willingness to practice and work hard in our lessons, and I will supply the rest! Looking forward to hearing your beautiful music or voice!

One lesson but so far so good. Atalia really puts you at ease.
Lesson was wonderful with Atalia despite the takelessons app sign in technical difficulties. We were able to make it work via FaceTime and she assured the the the amount of time I paid including time for what was missed during the technical issues.
You are making me feel like I can really learn to do this! Thanks for all your encouragement!!
I am a Nigeria and I am 11so can you give me for free???😭😭

Atalia is a great voice teacher. She is knowledgeable, patient yet persistent, and explains her understanding very well. It is an absolute pleasure having her as an instructor. I would recommend her highly to anyone interested in studying classical voice.
Speaking honestly, I was somewhat nervous to take lessons over the internet. How could a teacher possibly notice the nuances and mechanics of the human body during singing? Happily, Atalia has utterly erased my concerns. Amazingly, our lessons span two continents, as she lives in and teaches from Germany, and I take my lessons here in the US. Modern technology is amazing, yet nothing is lost in translation. She doesn't miss a beat, and I get to have a great teacher for a fair price with tremendous vocal knowledge and talent.
I have studied voice before, but thus far, I consider Atalia one of my most effective instructors. She has the talent, knowledge, and persistence that allows me to advance as quickly as my body and my practice commitment allows. Again, I am thrilled to have found her as a teacher, and I would recommend her highly to anyone seeking to develop their vocal instrument.
Professional and pleasant. Great so far.
Just wrapped up my last lesson with Atalia and wanted to let others know she's the teacher to have for your speaking/singing needs! I'm not a singer, but needed help with learning how to speak more clearly and much louder, so i wouldn't sound so tired, or like i'm talking in my throat. She taught me how to breathe properly when I speak and kept encouraging me to keep trying, because like she said, learning how to breathe the right way is challenging and isn't learned over night. Have to practice! Her pleasant voice will always be in my head, reminding me how to speak so others can understand what i'm saying. This has built my confidence. Thank you, Atalia! You were a joy to work with.+ Read More
Atalia is perfect for teaching Hebrew and Singing
She is absolutely wonderful, and very patient. Can't wait for the next session!!
Atalia is a great teacher. I've learned a ton in only 5 weeks. She is very patient and fun to work with!
I booked a series of lessons with Atalia 6 weeks before a public speaking engagement.
I didn't feel like Atalia prepared a long term plan towards my talk. It seemed like each lesson was winging it. I realize she's busy and has a lot of students, but I would have liked more personal attention. I enjoyed the work we did with breathing exercises and found them very helpful in keeping my voice loud and steady, but didn't gain a lot of insight into public speaking skills.
In addition, she was a no-show for our last scheduled lesson before my talk - the lesson that would have been most important. She asked to reschedule to accommodate her schedule, then wasn't online on Skype at our agreed upon time and didn't respond to my e-mails.
She may be better at lessons for voice or singing, but I would not recommend her services as a Public Speaking teacher.
Relaxed and instructive. I enjoyed the first session and look forward to the ne t
My previous review was that I was not able to access my homework and have not gotten that straight. Italia is very pleasant and efficient with online classes.
I loved the lesson but was not given the entire time. Atalia contacted me to let me know she just discovered that she had stopped 15 min earlier and will make it up. I also received homework from her but cannot get at it on my computer. Have asked for her to resend and have not received it yet.+ Read More
My 1st lesson was great, I learned so much in such a little time.. I can't wait until my next session!! Thank you so much Take lessons!!!
Very easy to follow and have learned more in three lessons online with her than 6 months with a local teacher. Will definitely continue the lessons.
My son gifted me for X-mas 5 piano lessons w/ Atalia. Being new to piano with a dream to start when I retire, 10-12 years from now :) and with a busy 16 year old daughter who plays but has no time to teach me, I was not quite mentally ready. I also did not know what to expect from an Internet lesson experience and was very nervous before the 1st time.
After 4 lessons I can tell you that the 30 min. go by very fast and sometimes having the right technology / Skype setup may be the initial challenge but the overall communication / lesson flow is great!
Atalia has the best possible personality for an online-type lesson: extremely sociable and patient, polite, keeps track of time and extremely organized, predisposes you to learn, never condescending, very knowledgeable and a hard working young Lady!
I have now signed up for 5 more lessons and can play simple pieces. The only issue to getting better is with me; as with everything new, practice is the key to success and finding the time to practice has been hard.
Give Atalia a try and you will not make a mistake!
Atalia is very professional, friendly and knowledgeable. She has a solid grasp of the material and also knows how to teach. My daughter loved her and we look forward to many more lessons with her! We highly recommend Atalia!
Atalia is a wonderful and knowledgeable teacher. She is patient and caring and has really helped me to obtain my goals in singing. Have really loved working with her. Ray R.
My first lesson with Atalia was fantastic! Having zero piano experience, I didn't really know what to expect with starting out, but she had me playing some basic stuff by the end. I can't wait to see where the remaining fourteen sessions take me!
Very patient and organized.
She's really nice and knowledgeable. She doesn't overwhelm you with too much but rather takes you step by step. I am always learning new things. Recommend!
She's the best!!!!
Our first lesson was fantastic and I think this is going to be a great fit for my daughter.
I have had five lessons with Atalia. I will sign up for five more! She is patient, organized, encouraging, and cheerful. It's a difficult language, but now I have been able to speak in basic sentences after five sessions. Thanks, Atalia. :)
Only did one lesson so far but want more!! Atalia is nice, patient, structured and goooood!
Atalia is very patient, and has a lot of knowledge on the subject. She's even comfortable laughing and having a good time during the lessons, which helps a lot. I would definitely recommend her as a teacher!
Atalia is motivating and encouraging. She provides the right amount of structure and allows enough room for creativity. I highly recommend Atalia to others.
Atalia was very helpful and patient with me. I would highly recommend her for any age group. It was a different experience learning to bring and sing properly over skype, but she definitely knew what she was doing on her end.
Thanks Atalia for the awesome lesson.
Atalia was great and really fun to work with. She is knowledgeable and patient!!! Ray Rhea
I was very impressed by my first lesson with Atalia. I have never taken formal singing lessons before and she did a great job in figuring out where I was and what I needed to start working on. And she got right down to business too, definitely making the most of our half our lesson. I know I have a lot of work to do, but I can't believe after one lesson how opptomistic I am about being able to perform like I've always dreamed of!+ Read More
I would definitely recommend Atalia as an instructor!

Atalia is the best instructor I've ever had. She is so kind and fun and she always explains things to where I understand it. I couldn't ask for a better singing teacher. -Ashton
So far so good no complaints...
Atalia is the best! =) I am a beginner so my lesson started from zero and I loved them! I had never dare to sing in front of people due to an early childhood trauma related to me singing, but Atalia is very patient, she clearly explains everything and besides having fun she made me feel I can sing anything I want. She has given me a lot of confidence and has made me feel comfortable singing. I am looking forward for my next lessons! Thank you! =)+ Read More
Atalia is the best--can't wait for my next class!
Sometimes it is difficult to believe my good fortune in finding an exceptional voice teacher. I always wanted to sing and since it didn't come natural I assumed it was only a dream.
Atalia has been supportive since day 1. I would cringe at how i sounded and she wouldn't seem phased at all. (If she was, she didn't show it :)) I'm grateful that she enjoys teaching and it isn't just a job. My journey continues and can say with confidence, " I'm learning to sing". I highly recommend her.
Thank you Atalia
Thank you Atalia! Aspen loves her lessons :)
Atalia is simply amazing! I love everything about her methods. She is very patient, encouraging, and I've noticed a very real difference/change in my confidence and voice just by doing the simple technique she uses. She is awesome and I highly recommend her to everyone! Already signed up for more lessons!+ Read More

Atalia is really versatile and patient, and my little brother looks forward to her class every week! He has only been taking a few lessons, but I heard an improvement on the first day.
Amazing teacher and singer. Atalia have helped me so much in her lessons. I wish I could give her infinite stars. Before her lessons I was struggling to understand music and sing. Now, I even started composing my own songs. She improved my confidence as a musician and that have influenced my life in a deep way. I feel like Atalia is a highly creative person and is always looking for ways to grow and improve my individualized lesson. She really taught me great tools to develop myself as a singer and guitarist. I see that she understands that everyone has a different way of learning and she tailor the time perfectly to improve my abilities and sensibility to music. I feel that I am accentuating my strenghts and expressing fully the unique qualities of my voice much better than before her first class. You will definally see improvement with time. I am so thankful to have meet her. :)+ Read More
My daughter loved having her as a teacher. She is truly amazing. My daughter learned a lot in the timeframe that she was her teacher. Unfortunately, Atalia moved out of the country & the lessons took place via skype. It was hit & miss with our internet which created problems with some of the lessons. So lessons had to be rescheduled or cancelled. If it wasn't for that I know for sure my daughter would still be getting lessons from this wonderful teacher.+ Read More
Atalia is a wonderful teacher. I've had 3 lessons so far and I already feel more confident. Can't wait to keep working on strengthening my voice and working on new songs.
Atalia is very talented and has significantly exceeded my expectations. She is very good at working with my 9 year old daughter and keeps the lessons fun and interesting for her. Highly recommended!
Atalia was a very good, patient teacher. Very professional and went the extra mile. Really knows singing.
Atalia is a wonderful teacher. We weren't sure how online voice lessons would work, but we decided to give them a try, and we are so glad we did! Atalia is talented, has a warm and approachable manner, and the skills to help my 11-year-old daughter make visible (and audible!) progress in just three lessons. We highly recommend her.+ Read More
I don't know where to begin to describe how great of an instructor Atalia is. She is talented, intelligent, patient, sweet, and caring. Her love of music shines through each lesson we have.
As a perfectionist, I was about ready to give up on singing until I began training with Atalia through Take Lessons. It's been over a year since then, and the difference between the singer I was then and now is astounding! I now know proper technique, and am continuing to grow with each new lesson.
Thank you, Atailia for all of the hard work you have dedicated to teach me. I have a greater love for music because of you.
I love my classes with Atalia. She is a great teacher!!!!
I highly recommend Atalia as voice teacher
I am a novice at singing and never imagined I would be able to sing.
Atalia is helping me bring my dream to reality. I just finished what was probably my most frustrating lesson b/c I was "a little off" on every thing today; it just wasn't my day.
Thank you Atalia for being a great teacher and for always focusing on what I've done well and encouraging me in areas were I can improve.
Thank you so much!
Atalia has been by far the most encouraging teacher I've ever had. Not only has she pushed me to places I thought I could never go, she has helped me believe in myself. Her passion for music shines when she teaches- I find her very motivating and easy to work with.
Great quality instruction
Atalia consistently provided a comfortable setting and approach for my daughter to play guitar. (Now if only my daughter would attend more of Atalia's lessons!)
Atalia is amazing. Besides her obvious talent, she is great at teaching.
Fun, passionate, interested, supportive....
Atalia is an excellent voice teacher, period. It is obvious she enjoys what she does and her enthusiasm is contagious.
I am impressed at how interested she is in sharing her talent with young people and guide them to build on their foundation.
Congratulations on earning your MM!!!!

Teacher has a beautiful voice, is very patient with a beginner and kind.
Organized and friendly
Atalia is incredibly passionate when it comes to spreading her knowledge and abilities in music. She is very dedicated to her students, always preparing for lessons in advance to provide the student with a full and structured lesson. She is easy to work with and I highly recommend her services
Atalia is great with my 7 year old son. It's a challenge to find good training for someone his age because a lot of people have a hard time explaining concepts in a way a child can understand. With Atalia, he gets it and I can see great progress so far!
Down to earth Diva
Amazing scope of talent and competence. We areprivileged to have Atalia teaching our daughter. She brings her enthusiasm and passion to each lessonand inspires students to reach for the stars throughearnest and consistent effort.
Thank you for your encouragement b/c Grace is very self conscious at this time.
