My goal as a teacher is to make sure my students feel comfortable with me and themselves. Playing an instrument is fun, and I want my students to feel the same joy I do about the instrument. I hope that my lessons will also give students the opportunity to express themselves, practice cognitive learning, and develop lifelong traits (diligence, perseverance, discipline) that will follow them forever.

Hey! My name is Ashley Beckles, I’m currently an undergraduate student at the University of Maryland double majoring in Music Education and Spanish. I’m also a missionary and relief worker and have been to the Dominican Republic, Cuba and this year Costa Rica. I love love love music, i’ve been playing the violin most of my life and I love teaching, especially privately, because I get to give my students my full attention. I also enjoy eating, sleeping and watching Grey’s Anatomy
