I have been teaching saxophone for 5 years. I believe that the best starting point is classical music, and from there my students can choose whether to continue studying classical or to explore jazz and improvisation. I always tailor my teaching methods to suit you, to make learning as fun and as effective as possible. How you feel is as important as how you sound!

I believe that learning an instrument has to be engaging and fun, first of all. Even the biggest musicians in the world ultimately play because they like to. When I teach, my first priority is to help my students enjoy themselves and find interest in their instrument, and I truly believe that that is where the best music comes from.
I studied music at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance, and I have played clarinet, saxophone and flute in musical theaters across Israel and in numerous musical productions.

Asaf teaches my 14 year old son the clarinet. He is a wonderful teacher. From a parent's point of view, he is incredibly easy to work with in terms of scheduling lessons. He is professional, flexible and very easy to reach via telephone, text and email. My son really looks forward to his lesson each week and WANTS to practice between lessons. He says that Asaf is "very knowledgeable, kind and patient." If, for some reason, we need to miss a lesson, Asaf will check in with us during the week to make sure my son has enough to "keep busy." Asaf really seems to care about his students. In short, I highly recommend Asaf as a music teacher!
