Violin with Anna Z.

I began teaching as a private lesson instructor through the public school system in Dallas, TX. I taught 6th-12th grade students, ranging from just starting on an instrument to college entry level. At the time, I had just started my Masters in Violin Performance at Southern Methodist University. Since then, I have moved to Boston and attended the New England Conservatory for Contemporary Improvisation. Most of my teaching philosophy is inspired by Simon Fischer and his pedagogical materials within the Classical arena. However, being at the conservatory has inspired new styles from around the world, along with a new way of thinking and approaching music beyond notes on a page. So, having this new direction in music certainly lends itself to a broader student base, for those who may be interested in learning violin or viola for a different style.
