Hello and welcome to my TakeLessons page! My name is Angela. As a violinist, chamber musician, and teaching artist who has been playing the violin for over 20 years, teaching brings me immense joy, and I love sharing my passion, expertise, and enthusiasm with my students! Each lesson is carefully crafted to align with the individual goals, skills, and musical tastes of my students. Whether they aspire to pursue a career in music or simply wish to indulge in the joy of playing an instrument for entertainment, I believe that the learning journey should be an enjoyable and enriching experience for all. I incorporate multiple facets of violin playing in my teaching so that my students find the most effective way to make progress, lesson contents include ear training, sight-reading, string pedagogy, music appreciation, solos, duets, audition preparation, and more. I am from Taiwan and I have been studying and working in the US for 7 years, therefore I am fluent in both English and Mandarin! I obtained my bachelor of music degree from New England Conservatory in Boston, and I graduated from Indiana University with dual degrees in violin performance and music education.
