My name is Andy, and I have been studying and playing piano since the turn of the century. I make my living entirely from performing and teaching music, so in addition to the theory and practice habits, I include stage etiquette, professionalism and other nuances of performance. I am also a composer; my debut album entitled "An Image of Worlds" is available on Spotify, iTunes, Amazon and other digital marketplaces. I wrote and played piano on all tracks. The style is cinematic instrumental, but I teach other styles as well - pop, blues, country, classical, etc.

Andy is a talented musician, artist and composer. His best qualification as tutor is his love and passion for music. He is teaching piano to my 7 year old, but he also taught her to love music.

Andy is very patient and has a great knowledge of music. He has an incredible ability of breaking down the music into parts I can understand which really helps me. He is always on time. He is always very positive.

I love my lessons with Andy. I guess you would say I’m a begin-again beginner. I hadn’t played the piano in over 25 years, had been pretty much self-taught earlier in my life, and I couldn’t even remember the notes on the base clef. While Andy reintroduced me to the basics and practice disciplines, I have been amazed how much more Andy has opened up my understanding of music, the chord structures, and how beautifully it all goes together. We have a great rapport and Andy introduces new material at the right pace for me. I feel it is so much easier and more fun to play the piano with what he has taught me.
