Finally we got to the singing; Tanisha has an effortless way of imparting major knowledge & skill into fun moments that is exceptional.
I hadn't realized how much I was my own obstacle until singing with Tanisha. I'd been making singing more difficult than it was and taking all the fun and natural "know how" out of it. After one lesson, while singing in my car--a song that I had been unable to sing through because of the high notes came on and I sang as normal, imagine my surprise when I reached the high notes and they EFFORTLESSLY came out! I was so ecstatic. AFTER ONE LESSON. The technical knowledge she gave me on how to use my vocal cords/breath/diaphragm correctly were everything I needed to obviously open up my range again. It still isn't where it can go, but it is further than I'd ever imagined already. I look forward to growing my vocals back with Tanisha. I highly recommend Tanisha especially for people who desire an instructor with a high focus on vocal health.
Finally, if it is a concern--don't let the location fool you! It is very safe & once inside you could very well be at a West Hollywood Studio location. She has meticulously decorated & equipped her school with all the best.

But just like switch hitters are invaluable players on a baseball team, learning how to build strength in your weaker hand can make you a much more efficient drummer. …

Learning to play a musical instrument - and finally being able to play all of your favorite songs for violin - is an amazing feeling! However, it can be easy to get caught up in the enthusiasm of learning to play violin songs quickly, and to overlook the important basic step of developing your sound from the very beginning. Nothing will help build these skills more quickly than concentrated exercises; just a few short bursts each day to concentrate on each area will hone the skills you need to …

You've chosen a beautiful guitar. You have picks, a capo, a tuner, and a guitar teacher. Congratulations! You've begun your journey to becoming a great guitar player. But how often should you take lessons? Mastering the guitar requires blending many skills together, and using your body and mind in unison to create music. You must perfect your muscle memory and fine motor skills, while remembering many chords, chord progressions, and how to find particular notes on your guitar. Playing elec …
