I am a guitarist with over 15 years of playing experience and a lover of music. I have taken private music theory lessons as well as classes in undergrad. I believe music is one of the most beautiful things in the world. The element of personal expression makes it that much more meaningful. I have learned over the years teaching causes you to truly know your craft in order to convey it to someone else. I enjoy sharing that joy of music with others looking to embark on their own musical journey. I have devised a system for teaching that has proven to be effective among my students. I start off by gauging what the student knows musically to see what we need to focus on. After that, we work through principles and songs in a systematic and fun way. I give homework and material to work on every lesson to reinforce the work of the day.
