I am a classically trained, enthusiastic, highly organized, creative and professional musician and educator with solid experience in all ages and levels of teaching. My primary wish is for my students to reach their aspirations and their full musical potential while having fun in the process. Not only will you be playing songs in no time, but you will build a strong foundation of music reading, music theory, ear training, sight-reading, and other techniques while adapting to your personal tastes and goals. I've been teaching violin for over 5 years and my students have gone on to play in youth orchestras, presented in competitions, or chosen violin as their major in college. LESSON DETAILS I am patient and encouraging and my students' success is my success! I specialize in Classical violin and typically use Essential Elements, Suzuki methods, and traditional scales and etude books. I have the following tools available for your lessons: Metronome, Tuner, rosin and my music library. After a whole-body approach to the violin, we start by setting up the technical side of things for the ease and comfort of playing. Since it is different for every age group and experience level, we will start from the first lesson figuring out what your level is, and how you can immediately keep learning to exceed any expectations. After 2-5 months of lessons, you will have a solid foundation on the instrument and will play some beginning level songs with the proper position and tuning. You will be having a rewarding experience as you learn all the fundamentals, as you will discover the joy of music from the very start! ABOUT ME I was born and raised in Cuba and at the age of 6, I started my musical journey at the Vocational Art School of my city until I moved to Havana at the age of 15. I graduated from the Municipal Conservatory of Havana 4 years later with a degree in Music Performance and Instruction. I have enjoyed serving in orchestral roles in the Symphonic Orchestra of the Alicia Alonso Theater, the National Symphonic Orchestra of my country, and the Municipal Conservatory Symphonic Orchestra. I have also performed as a soloist and participated in educational events and masterclasses around the country with renowned professional violinists and music theorists.
