    About Amelia L.

    4.9

Amelia L. graduated from UT- Austin in 2013 with a Masters degree in Opera Performance and has recently relocated to Houston. For the last three years Amelia has been teaching beginning to advanced students of voice and beginning to intermediate students of piano of all ages. Ms. L's teaching focuses on breath support, proper body alignment, vocal consistency of the entire range, and the pure enjoyment of music-making. Instilling confidence by enabling students with strong vocal technique and musicality is Ms. L's main goal. *My availability indicates that I travel for lessons, but I usually only do this when I teach at the same location for several students (for example, if a family has two or three students totaling an hour and a half+ in lesson time per week). Other than that specific situation, I teach from my home. I have a ten year-old miniature Australian Shepherd-Catahoula mix named Amity. Her name discloses her temperament; she is very friendly to all people and other animals! If you prefer, I can keep her in another room or in her "house" (her crate) during lessons.

We saw improvement after the first lesson! My daughter was trying out for a musical theater class and even after only two lessons, she improved enough to get into the class. We are so thrilled. Ms. Amelia makes her feel confident and relaxed. Plus Ms. Amelia is extremely knowledgeable about technique and she makes singing fun.
