As someone who has been playing the violin for 18 years, I know that searching for a teacher that is amazing and effective is not an easy task. There are so many violin teachers out there that the choice can be overwhelming. How do you know that these teachers will be a good fit? Are they worth it? Hopefully, I can make that decision easier for you. I apply an approach to teaching that not only helps you or your child grow as a violinist, but it also excites and boosts confidence in ability. Any problem can be fixed and improved on if you understand what the issue is and how to fix it. I employ strategies that draw the students' attention to the issues and help them understand the solutions. The end goal is that my students are able to problem solve for themselves. Since most of the work happens in individual practice sessions, it's important the student can identify and fix problems on their own.  ​ Additionally, it believe it is imperative for a student's needs and concerns to be addressed with respect and patience. In order for learning to take place, there must be trust between a student and teacher. I hope to build that with all students that walk into my studio.
