Hey Everyone! I am a musician/vocalist from Fargo, ND and currently reside in Nashville, TN. I have been singing, playing piano, flute, composing/songwriting, since I was a little girl to fronting bands, and recording as a living for the last five years. I originally went to the University of North Dakota for Music Therapy where I was classically trained vocally. I left to move to Minneapolis, MN to front bands because this is where my passion was. After doing so, I went back to finish my degree at McNally Smith College of Music in Minneapolis, MN and received my degree in Vocal Performance. I have a strong background in Country, Rock and Blues performance, but have trained in Classical and Musical performance as well. I have performed in the bands Skewed View (80's Rock), Scarlet County (Country), Shirts N Skins (Top 40), Marshall Star Band (Country), multiple A Capella groups, and have been a part of the Medora Musical as well. I now live Nashville, TN pursuing songwriting as well as my band, Alyssa Scott and the Hometown Heroes! I have a strong passion for teaching though and love to share what I know with my students. I have been teaching for four years on and off between moves, but is where I feel comfortable. I live the music business daily and feel that I can be super helpful when it comes to having gumption and persistence when it comes to music!+ Read More
I teach on and off. When I move I can keep students online and teach via skype/facetime, etc. but have continued to love teaching as well as meeting great new students!
I was a Burning Hills Singer, which was a 7 nights a week all summer long job. I would sing and dance for a 2 hour long show about Teddy Rosevelt. It was performed through Musical style.
I would be the female front of this country band. This band travelled full time, so I performed at different casinos/venues from Arizona, to Nevada, Wyoming, Wisconsin, North Dakota, and Minnesota. Great to live on the road for awhile.
I would be the front person of the country band to get people going and having a good time as well as entertain and perform the set lists well.
