Singing is my specialty. As the vocalist for Sony Records band Atom Smash I toured for over 1000 shows and have found tricks to keep your voice up to par while singing aggressively. Most coaches focus on classical methods that would'nt stand up to the modern market of music. Using my methods and coaching your voice will be healthier, more stylized, and you will have the stamina to play 200 shows per year like I have. Im a passionate coach that takes my students under my wing.

SINGING: During vocal lessons we will work on the musical style of your choice. Generally speaking, we will spend about half of the lesson working on breathing technique and vocal exercises suited to your style and skill level. The rest of the lesson we will work on applying technique to songs. If you would prefer to only work on technique during your lessons, that is fine too- just mention it!

I have followed my mother's singing footprints since 6 years of age. I am a huge fan of Walt Disney's movie because of its colorful arts and musics. in singing, i focus on the diaphragm for breathing techniques and performance anxieties. If your looking for a vocal teacher that are strictly for performance, I apologize for any inconvenience , however I'm not the teacher to prepare you for it. Basic vocal techniques are my main focus to enhance your voice to become better.

Ideas to Inspire Your Young Musician in Nashville
Written by: TakeLessons Teacher, Heather E.
I moved to Nashville about a year ago, and while I knew it was “Music City,” I thought the nickname was a bit out of date. I mean, Nashville is just lame Honky Tonk music, right? WRONG! Nashville is pulsing with musical life! Most of the bars and clubs have fresh local bands, which is so refreshing! But…we’re talking about kid-friendly stuff, which is fun too.
My son Jonah is eleven months old, so my husband and I have been searching for some music activities we can all do together. The best thing is, a lot of the best ones we've found are totally free! As a mom and wife of a grad student/musician, free is good. Free is really good.
If you moved to Nashville recently, or if you are visiting with your family for the weekend, here are some ideas for inspiring the budding musician inside your child:
Music in the Park I found about this way too late last summer! Nashville hosts Music in the Park at Centennial Park almost every Saturday from May to August. Centennial is a huge park on the West End, across from Vanderbilt. There’s a great walking trail, a pond, a playground, and a huge yard in front of the Parthenon where they hold the concerts. Just bring your blanket and snacks and enjoy some FREE live music!
Franklin, TN It’s adorable. It’s the cutest thing you've ever seen. And, it’s full of street performers! Franklin is a suburb of Nashville, about a twenty minute drive from the city. I think some country music star was walking down the street and discovered a musician there (or so the story goes), so now it’s full of street performers. I've heard some pretty amazing stuff walking down the streets in Franklin. And don’t forget, if their performance is good enough to make you stop and listen, you owe them a dollar. So… not totally free. But close.
Student Performances Belmont University and Vanderbilt University both have some great student performances, which are almost always FREE! The theater program at Vandy puts on some amazing performances, and all of the music I've ever heard at Belmont has blown me away. (They had Dianne Graves at their Christmas performance this year!)
Also, tip from a local: If you want to meet a famous country star, skip the Grand Ole Opry and head to the Whole Foods in Green Hills. (I’m serious.)

Let’s face it: singing in front of an audience isn’t easy. Vocal beginners and experts alike all need a confidence boost from time to time, especially before taking the stage. Even if you know a song inside-and-out, if you don’t feel confident then it’s hard to perform at your full potential. Sometimes, just a few positive words can make all the difference. Whether you could use motivation to keep singing, or you’re looking to inspire a friend, there are countless confidence pick-me- …
