I've been teaching piano for 13+ years and my students have gone on to confidently share music they know & love both casually & professionally! After the first few lessons, you'll be able to play songs you recognize, identify notes & chords, and begin reading music. As time goes on, you'll be able to write your own songs & even improvise! I have a degree in jazz studies with years of formal training in classical repertoire & technique, giving me a versatile edge as an instructor. Typically, I use the Faber & Hal Leonard series books but I also pull material from my mega collection of songbooks and custom charts! Come join my active teaching studio of 25+ students. Would love to start working with you whether you’re just looking to get started or wanting to upgrade some existing skills! I enjoy working with students of all ages and experience levels!

Want an experienced and approachable music educator who can help you level-up or just even start? I'm versatile keyboardist & singer-songwriter with 15+ years of performing and thousands of shows under my belt. Come join my active studio of over 30+ students! As a teacher, I aim to cultivate confidence, enthusiasm, and independence in my students by providing custom, personalized lessons that meet you at your skill level, learning style, and interests! I'm a formally trained musician who graduated with a Bachelor's of Music in Jazz-Studio Performance from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 2014. There I studied jazz under the direction of Bobby Watson & Dan Thomas as well as classical repertoire under Diane Petrella & Karen Kushner. In 2015, I released my first, live-studio EP 'As of Now' featuring all original songs & arrangements. This project explored the cross section between contemporary-folk & jazz and led to featured performances at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art and National WW1 Museum & Memorial. In 2021, I released my first self-produced, electronic-indie EP 'Half & Half'! It was noted as a top EP of 2021 by the Bridge 90.9 and lead to featured performances on Beat Cinema (Los Angeles) and collaborating with visual artist Barry Anderson for Charolette Street Organization & Eddie Moore's ProdoLab series. In addition to teaching and performing, I also have accompanied hundreds of dance classes since 2015 for both Kansas City Ballet's outreach dance program 'Reach Out and Dance' and Owen/Cox Dance Group's 'Take the Stage'.
