Spiritually gifted, uniquely talented and classically trained, Allan Van Johnson has enjoyed success as a singer, choral director and vocal coach for 20 years, and been blessed to share the stage with such great artists as Stevie Wonder, Karen Clark-Sheard, and Kim Burrell. With a voice that spans the vocal ranges of bass, tenor, alto and soprano, and as a University of Maryland music graduate, he has organized many choral ensembles, and provides numerous workshops on singing techniques and the importance of vocal health. During this time, Allan became a licensed cosmetologist, merging his painting background with hair coloring. He has studied the theories and techniques of industry icons Beth Minardi, Michael Canale, and Tracey Cunningham. He is skilled in haircolor formulations, applications, foil highlighting/lowlighting, Balayage hair painting, corrective coloring, gray blending and coverage, thus adept at bold, creative color and low maintenance color. As a PRAVANA™ Certified Master Hair Colorist, he teaches basic and advanced hair coloring techniques to fellow hairstylists. Allan resides in Baltimore, Maryland with his wife and their three children.
