I offer private voice lessons to singers of all ages, levels, voice types, and styles. Lessons are focused on technical aspects of singing, maintenance of vocal health, and working with the mind, body, and voice as a unit. I draw from my experiences as an opera singer, graduate voice clinician, voice researcher, and meditation practitioner to bring out each student's uniquely beautiful instrument. I am a speech-language pathologist and former professional opera singer and recitalist. I have had 18 years of vocal training and received my post-graduate education at the Academy of Vocal Arts (AVA) in Philadelphia. I have 3 years of education and experience in clinical settings treating disordered voices and 5 years of experience as a voice teacher. I am eager to pass on my expertise to my students!

Alex is a breath of fresh air as a singing teacher and as a person. She knows that people are unique and we all respond to instructions differently. She will take the time to understand how you work and, with that understanding, help you think about singing in a whole new way. She is also very kind and patient. I know I am in good hands with her, and I highly recommend her to anyone who wants to improve their singing.

Alex has a beautiful voice and is an excellent teacher. She has this calm demeanor which makes the scary singing process so much easier. Because of her varied background she knows how to explain things both artistically and scientifically. Can’t recommend her enough!
