Guitar with Alex W.

Hey! My name’s Alex. I’ve been playing guitar for the past 14 years and teaching for the past 5. When I started I was all about playing hard and classic rock, but as I got older I started to become interested in a variety of different styles of music such as classical, blues, Jazz and so on. I earned a degree in Music Performance from Guilford college, with a minor in Women and Gender Studies. There I focused my studies on classical guitar. I’ve taught at several music programs and music camps over the years, including B Natural Academy of Music and the Arts, and Girls Rock camp in Durham, and at Music and Arts. I have also worked as an intern for NC Folk Festival in Greensboro NC, where I helped organize and set up performances, Guitar Center, where I repaired guitars, and Roscoe Guitars, where I built bass guitars.
