Growing up I was raised in a home full of music. My father, a graduate of the Conservatorio Nacional Superior de Musica (National conservatory of Superior Music) played piano day and night and from there my love for music blossomed. My first experience with music was at the age of 8 when I began to take piano lessons from my father. I decided to switch to violin when I was 12. I was introduced to violin thanks to the Waldorf School of San Diego and have played in the orchestra throughout all of middle school. After 8th grade I was accepted into Young Artist Symphony and played with them until 2011. My education in orchestras continued with USD Chamber Orchestra, and Youth Philharmonic Orchestra. I began to teach at the Waldorf School as an assistant orchestra teacher in 2011, and have since been teaching privately as well. My goals when teaching is to teach the appropriate techniques in order to play violin successfully and to hopefully inspire love and appreciation for music. In my experience I have learned that every student has a different way of learning therefore it is important to adjust to every student's needs. Learning should be fun but it should also be disciplined, it is important to understand that there is a time for fun and a time to be serious when learning.
