Alec has been giving my son drum lessons since Dec 2015. My son had some training and experience drumming, but after he started taking lessons with Alec, it was noticeable how much his drumming ability was improving. Alec is a great drum instructor and works really well with my son. He starts with where ever you are at and comes up with creative ways to improve your playing ability. I would highly recommend Alec as a drum teacher.

My daughter has been taking lessons from Alec for nearly a year now. In this time, he has shown to be very knowledgeable of drum techniques and skills. He is motivating, supportive of students' capabilities, fun, and always encourages individuality. Also, he knows a lot of drum and percussion history. Alec definitely inspires confidence! :)

Alec started out by teaching our 5 yr old Colton how to play drums. Through the progressions, Colton has really enjoyed playing drums and Alec has a great technique in how he teaches. I taught myself how to play the basics on drums. I was impressed with how Alec was teaching Colton. I decided that it was time to expand my horizons and get more instruction. I have played for about 1 year now and Alec has helped me with technique and skills. He has challenged me to learn different styles of music to help me become better. Alec is very talented and very "clean and solid" when playing drums. Alec has a way of teaching that works for young students and older students. I would recommend Alec to anyone wanting to learn drums.

    Prince music Company

    Dec, 2014 - Present

    Percussion instructor

We are a music company owned and operated by music teachers and musicians who teach for the love of music. We are here to help our neighbors when it comes to purchasing an instrument, or selecting a teacher who can meet their needs. Originally from Minnesota, Prince Music Company opened a music studio in New Orleans, LA and many students came through this location. We taught children as young as six, to adults in their 50's and 60's. In turn, New Orleans impressed us with music that originated in the city like jazz, bounce rap, and swamp pop. The greatest thing we took from this amazing city were the instruments the jazz artists of the south swear by. It was then that we decided to open a studio in Minneapolis where these instruments and music lessons could be enjoyed by our home town community.
