The development of fundamental music skills, such as a continuing exploration of harmony, rhythm, and listening skills, are an integral part of my approach to instrumental studies. With over 12 years of teaching experience, I have worked with students of all ages and interests. There is always more to explore, and everyone has room for improvement. Above all, my approach to teaching and personal practice is all about collaboration, exploration, and connection.

Alan is very suited to teaching guitar. He really knows his stuff and is very willing to take the time to explain things in as much detail as you ask. He is also patient and will talk you through something you are having trouble with. He is keenly aware of what it is you wish to learn and gives you a complete overview to make sure you are on the same page. He will challenge you get to the next level. Alan is always prepared for the lessons and seems to enjoy teaching. I am very happy with the whole experience. I highly recommend Alan.
My daughter started her classes with Alan recently. She is 5 years old and I am extremely pleased with what she has learnt so far. Alan is extremely patient with kids and makes the classes enjoyable. He is very comfortable while teaching her and fully comprehends that kids her age can be distracted. However, I have observed that his teaching approach keeps her thoroughly engaged on the lesson and she enjoys it. I would highly recommend Alan.Show More
