Playing the violin wasn't originally very fun for me. I didn't enjoy practicing or learning music until my parents bought some sheet music for popular songs, and I would play along with them. This really made playing the violin enjoyable, and this new love for playing made me stick with it. I want my students to have fun while also learning valuable techniques that will be beneficial to their success with the instrument. This is executed through the combination of classical repertoire, scales and etudes, and pieces/songs chosen by the student.

About Adam K.

When I was first starting to play the violin, I didn't really enjoy it. I was often told I wasn't good enough and I would never amount to anything with it. It really took the fun out of playing. I ended up taking lessons from a fantastic teacher, who saw my potential, and really gave me a love of music and the violin. I want to be able to give someone else the opportunity to learn an instrument and find their love of music the way I did. I strongly believe there is no single method to learning the violin - my teaching will be adapted to the individual student, using pieces from the classical repertoire, etudes/scales, and fun pieces chosen by the student.
