Hello, my name is Abla! If you are seeking to strengthen, tone and lengthen your body, and improve your overall health and well-being, you are in the right place! I am passionate about sharing my knowledge of Pilates and physical fitness in an efficient, easy to understand format. I have been teaching Pilates since 2004 and am a classically certified instructor with the Pilates Method Alliance. I design workouts to accommodate all levels of experience and intensity.
I am a Los Angeles based Pilates instructor by way of Dallas, Philadelphia, and New York. In my former career as a professional opera singer, it was important to maintain my fitness level for performing on stage and strengthening my core to better support my voice. Pilates also enabled me to recover from various injuries, improved my posture, and enhanced my overall athleticism. I hope our time together will be productive, and I look forward to supporting your fitness goals! I am positive, dedicated, and I also enjoy the challenge of teaching and helping people to be their best.

As a senior instructor at the elite Philadelphia studio Urbanfront Pilates, I was responsible for up to 15 group classes (including barre and TRX) as well as individualized instruction weekly, recognizing and customizing the wellness experience. I also worked with the Philadelphia wellness community for cross promotional events. The Comprehensive training is our most extensive program and covers beginner, intermediate and advanced level exercises utilizing the Pilates apparatus - Mat, Reformer, Cadillac, Chair, Barrels, Ped-o-Pull and Magic Circle - as well as understanding how to work with Special Case clients (i.e. pregnancy, back problem, neck, knee, shoulder, etc.). Instructors sharpen their eye for subtle exercise modifications and master the ability to work with people of all ages and fitness levels at the same time.
