I am a guitarist, percussionist, and composer originally from Maine and now based in the Boston area. I graduated with a Bachelor of Music in Composition from the University of Southern Maine, where I also studied jazz guitar. I'm currently a graduate student at Longy School of Music, in Cambridge, MA.
I've played guitar since I was very young, and perform various musical styles in different settings. Throughout middle and high school, I performed in numerous rock, blues, and jazz groups. In my undergraduate and graduate career, I've played in the pit band for many musicals, as well as in contemporary classical ensembles.
As a composer, I have likewise written in a wide range of settings, spanning from rock and blues, to jazz, to new music chamber ensembles and orchestras.
I have been teaching students of varying ages for three years now, from all different musical backgrounds and levels of proficiency. I primarily teach beginner-level students who are starting with a limited background on guitar, but have taught some who have no experience whatsoever, and similarly others who have a fair amount of experience but are simply looking to get better.
I look forward to meeting you and discussing your musical future!
