I'm a self-taught artist and art teacher from Spain. I can show you how to improve your art skills!
Bienvenido/a a mi perfil. Me llamo Christelle y soy profesora. ¡Encantada!
I was born in Argentina and spent the first half of my life there and then moved to Spain, where I lived until 2016 when I moved to Chicago area.

I worked as an EFL (English as a Foreign Language) teacher for almost 7 years. I have experience with children as young as 1 y/o, one-to-one lessons, small and large groups.

⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆⋆ ABOUT MY PRIVATE LESSONS
I can help you improve your current level of Spanish, help your children with Spanish at school, or teach you Spanish from scratch!
⋆ LOCATIONS I live in Bloomingdale and work in the DuPage county area. I meet most of my students in local coffee shops like Starbucks or Panera, but at-home lessons are possible as well.
⋆ LESSON FREQUENCY AND LENGTH
It would depend on your goals. School tutoring usually requires less time because Spanish at school is extremely basic and it’s doesn’t really lead to fluency in the language. Anything else needs a greater degree of commitment! I meet my students for one hour once or twice per week AT LEAST.
⋆ TEACHING METHOD For school tutoring I try to adapt to your school’s method. For other types of lessons, I prefer avoiding translation and memorization and make use of effective Spanish textbooks, technology, games and free conversation.
⋆ SCHEDULE / AVAILABILITY I mostly teach Monday-Friday afternoons and weekends in the morning.
⋆ RESCHEDULING / CANCELLATIONS / PUNCTUALITY I understand flexibility is convenient and appreciated, so I allow rescheduling and cancellations in case of emergency or with enough advance notice. I recommend students to stick to their agreed schedule if they want to achieve their goals, even if that means to meet at another time during that same week. If I am already on my way to your lesson and you need to cancel, I will charge for the lesson. If you’re going to be late, please let me know, and I can’t guarantee that I can stay later than our scheduled time.
⋆ FIRST LESSON During our first lesson we will take time to go over any important information, set our goals and answer questions regarding nature of our lessons. We can talk about fees and teaching materials during this lesson as well.
For any more details or any questions, please don’t hesitate contacting me!
We found Christelle on this website and could not be more thrilled. She was able to meet all of our requirements in an art tutor, speaking perfect Spanish to my daughter and always energetic during the lessons. My daughter cannot wait for the next lesson to come every week!
Would you like to learn to draw the world around you? Look no further! I am a professional, exhibiting visual artist and drawing is my passion! I have a Masters in Education and have been teaching for over 10 years. I have experience with adults and children alike and absolute beginners are welcome. I will design a personalized curriculum to fit your needs. I am a visual artist who has been exhibiting my artwork across the US since 2009 and teaching since 2006. I got my BA from Vassar College, and a Masters in Education through the NYC Teaching Fellows program. I am deeply passionate about drawing and love to share this passion with others. I believe that art isn't for the talented few but for the passionate many and what counts most of all is that you're having fun!
My drawings tend to celebrate the beautiful and surprising in the mundane. I have worked in a variety of media but my preferred material is good old-fashioned pencil on paper. I have had solo and group exhibitions, my work has been published in print and online, one of my drawings is on the cover of a philosophy book, I have exhibited at several art fairs, and I have won many fellowships, grants, and artist residencies.
Our drawing lessons will begin with learning to use the most basic materials: charcoal, erasers, pencil and paper. We will spend a lot of time learning the art of looking because above all, drawing is about observation and translating what you see. You will begin to notice improvements in your skills after the first class!
My 6 year old daughter really enjoyed her online drawing lesson with Jessica. The lesson was well-structured and thought through. The materials Jessica picked were diverse and informative. I was amazed how Jessica made the online lesson seem as if she was right here in our house. I asked my daughter how many more lessons should I set up for her and she answered: many, many more! I strongly recommend Jessica to any student learning graphite drawing!

Both of my children take class with Jessica. She keeps the lesson fun and really encourages both of my children. She is very talented and knows how to reach young artists to help inspire them. I highly recommend her as an instructor. This was our third class with her and we have every intention to continue taking lessons with her.

Jessica is really a great teacher and a nice person! She helps me from a completely beginner to finish a detailed pencil sketch portrait in 15hrs. Definitely recommended.
Many people think they can't draw. I used to be one of them. Now, I know that everyone can draw, they just need to learn how to translate what they see into an image. We will start with contour, move into gesture, create the illusion of 3D form using value and color, composition and even create the illusion of space. We will use a variety of media including graphite, charcoal, pastels (oil and chalk) and even use paint. It's really lots of fun!
Hello! My name is John and I can teach you to draw and paint. I am high energy, funnier than all get out, yet have a serious love of art. Let's explore not just the technical side of drawing/painting, but let's help you discover how to express your creative self!
Want to draw your best friend, lifetime pet, or a flower you might have come across on a recent walk? Or, do you just wish you could record your memories and dreams? Well, as it happens, you can.
Drawing with me will empower you with a basic understanding of shape, movement, line quality, light and shadows, composition, perspective, critical thinking, and best of all, the confidence to draw anything.
My approach to teaching art is influenced by my teachers from grade school through college as well as Betty Edwards' Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain and Mona Brookes' Drawing with Children: A Creative Method for Adult Beginners, Too.
To see if this course is right for you email me to start a conversation about your interests and expectations.
I am so excited to meet you and see what you have to say through art. Art is a way of seeing and understanding the world. Learning the basic tools for understanding and creating art will enrich your life, regardless of who you are.
To tell you more about myself, in New England I majored in Visual Art with a focus in painting, minoring in English as well. In Alaska I was home schooled throughout grade school, immersing myself in art classes, voice lessons, and the classical texts. I have have taught all ages, and a wide variety of approaches to drawing, including comic art. A few things you will learn from looking at my portfolio are that I love impressionism, people, texture, layers, and explosions of color.
Hi! I am a Certified Zentangle (R) Teacher (CZT). Zentangle is a method of art that breaks down complicated patterns into a manageable step by step process. Hi! I am so excited to bring the art of tangling to you! I am a Certified Zentangle®️ Teacher and love teaching kids to silver-seniors 🌞. I retired from Occupational Therapy after 25 years and decided to explore different art forms. I discovered tangling and became addicted! It is so much fun, and it has lots of benefits, too. Studies are showing that it truly has a zen-like quality in helping people with anxiety, pain management, stress reduction, increased handwriting and fine motor coordination as well as attention to detail and concentration. The beauty of this is that you do not need to be an "artist" to enjoy it....if you can write I, C, S, and O you can do it....really!

"Omar was great overall, he was able to point out small details about sketching that I never thought about like how I should be looking at the object that
I am sketching more than my picture itself. Very affordable too! I will be using him more in the near future."
"Kathy is very patient in understanding areas that needs to be worked on. I didn't know anything about drawing but Kathy structured the curriculum in a way
that worked best for me without being overwhelming. Starting from the technical aspects of drawing to the conceptual aspects such as mark making and what drawing meant in a fine art context, she has got you covered. She is very professional, kind and works with you to get the best out of you."

"Though I haven't done this 1:1, I have taken a group class with Eli and he's an excellent teacher. Lessons are well planned and yet also have spontaneity
. He articulates the lesson of the day well, gives rich assignments, and then comments on your work in a supportive way that gives you a lot to continue to work on."
"Awesome! Great attitude and instruction. My son and I were in the lessson and it was great."
"My son is a beginner in drawing and is a bit apprehensive about his drawing skills. I really appreciated and liked Margarita's approach, setting music to
create a relaxing atmosphere for drawing, explaining the steps, and the foundation for sketching. I think we approached drawing wrongly and after the lesson I changed our way. We play music now (which he likes) and he is drawing more often and is more relaxed."
