I'm a professional illustrator, and an almost entirely self-taught artist. I've worked in comic books, illustrations for tabletop roleplaying games, concept design for video games, personal commission work, and even pet portraits. Few things get me as excited as being able to draw from imagination, and I believe that drawing skills can enrich anyone's life, whether or not being a professional artist is in your future. Let's improve together!

Jack is a great instructor that brings a practical, straightforward wisdom to our sessions. The difference between what I'm learning from him and what I've learned from other instructors is like night and day. My other instructors would teach me lots of facts and principles about art and then send me to do drills, but Jack has helped me see a way to approach drawing that's intuitive, self-determining, and honestly very fun and exciting. And I think that really sums up my experiences with him: he'll teach you how to be independent as an artist. Knowing that, I think it says something that I'm still signing up for lessons with him. He's a swell guy who's easy to get along with, and I value his input.
Jack has gone above and beyond when it comes to tutoring. He is accommodating, insightful, and straightforward. He has been incredibly helpful in pushing me towards my passion, and I would highly recommend him as a tutor, especially given that his style of art isn't common among other teachers on this site.
Jack is both a wonderful teacher and instructor! His mindfulness and willingness to meet me at my own skill level while pushing improvement has propelled my illustration and art forward. Jack's experience as a professional illustrator is shown in his attention to detail, and his teachings have helped to give me the tools I need to correct the problems in my drawing and perception.
