Roya is an amazing teacher! I have no artistic talent but she was able to teach even me to draw. She’s patient kind and thoughtful and will sit with you until you have mastered everything you need to know.

Roya was very helpful and taught many new techniques that will easily be applied on my own. Would definitely recommend lessons with Roya.

Roya is a kind, patient teacher. My daughter learned a couple new spray painting skills which will certainly help with her high school project. Thank you!

He knows how to teach, but he taught from his iPad, iPhone, in his car. I kept asking him how to draw, and he kept showing me from his iPad. This didn't translate to a good experience. If he wants to teach, he needs to do it NOT from his car.

Jason was very patient with me and very nice. I loved what I've learned so far and can't wait to learn more!

Great lesson. Jason is working with my mom to tailor the lessons to her level. Mom enjoyed the lesson and is looking forward to more.

I’ve been teaching for a year and welcome students of all levels! My lessons are all about training your eye and mastering the foundational elements of art so you can draw anything from life our you imagine. I bring lots of practical techniques and old school methods introduced in a modern way that takes into account the interest of my students and keeps the learning fresh and fun.

At all of my lessons I introduce the works of an established modern or classical artist that either exemplifies the lesson of the day or is someone whose work or life story I think my student might find interesting. We don’t just learn how to draw or paint but also learn how to talk about art and make it more a part of your everyday life.

About David

I have a bachelors degree in printmaking and oil painting and spent some time in Florence, Italy studying painting and drawing by studying the High Renaissance masters. Currently I draw and paint in my spare time. I love teaching art as a way to connect with other artist and creative people who lik
