She said she couldn’t help me unless we were on zoom. No one told me this and I don’t know how to do zoom. So then she told me to connect to her on the computer and not my phone so I tried that. That didn’t work. So she looked at my screen and told me it was blurry. Then after all that we lost connection and she was unwilling to reschedule so I could actually get what I paid for which was help!!! All my other teachers on here have been good, but I can’t recommend jasmine as it was a complete waste of my money.

Jeanmarie helped me to learn the proper way to hold the cello and the bow. She watched carefully to be sure I maintained that throughout the lesson. I am pleased that she is going to be sure I learn to play the cello well to prevent injuries. She also gave me some very basic bowing and finger exercises to practice this first week so I begin to build correct muscle memory before I go on to working with sheet music.

"I've used Athan for several lessons now and he's become a friend. Happy to write this review for him (though I secretly don't want other players to get the same coaching :)). I can't recommend him enough as he's saved me tons of money and has made me much more. Athan is so smart and analytical. I already knew how to play before we started but I wasn't winning much if at all, in my home games and in casinos both in cash games and in tournaments. Athan came with a completely custom lesson plan and helped break apart how to think about the game in general, how to play players, the math, specific leaks/weak spots, and different situations. Just try one lesson and I think you'll see the same."

"Athan is a fantastic teacher and communicator. To shake things up a bit this summer, I arranged an online poker lesson with Athan for my son. I saw later that Athan's resume is super impressive -- Yale, Cornell, professional poker player, CEO multiple times over. So impressive, actually, that leading up to the lesson I was wondering whether he and my son would even be able to communicate with each other, and whether I was getting my son into something that was way over his head. I sat next to my son the whole time, and saw the whole lesson. Athan came in and knocked the lesson out of the park. He knew his "audience," was totally prepared, and said all the right things at the right times to keep everything clear, interesting and effective. Just as one example, at the beginning Athan asked my son a couple questions about his other interests (e.g. what do you do? do you play sports? like math?) and when Carter told him the answers, Athan memorized them. Then throughout the lesson, Athan kept analogizing the principles he was teaching to those experiences Carter had told him about. Amazing! I was blown away. Athan's not only an apparent master of his poker craft, but he's got real talent when it comes to communication more broadly. It's no wonder he's traveled so far."
