Find your center, and learn to relax with Music led Meditation sessions, I play Indian classical sitar, and guide you on a journey of relaxation. Learn to find sanctuary through music and vibration.
I love to answer questions and learn things I don't know, I know a good amount about guitar repair, improvised instrument building, how to buy a good instrument and not spend to much, and I have a vast knowledge of obscure instruments, and audio production as well. Feel free to ask me questions, and expect informative non-judgmental answers.
I have spent a lot of time developing as a vocalist, songwriter, composer and producer, which helps me in all aspects of my music and teaching, I'm always looking to learn more. I have played in heavy metal bands, but have also done solo acoustic singer/songwriting stuff, I have produced raw hip-hop but also love old soul and ska tunes. Being well rounded musically and drawing from lots of influences is what makes me a good teacher and shapes me as a m
As an artist I have been featured on MTV, Rollingstone, BBC, NBC, VOA, ARY, Alt Press, LA times, documentaries and more. I have been playing guitar and recording music since childhood and am a classically trained sitar player and Indian classical vocalist.
I am a great teacher for someone who wants to write songs, or is into Indie, rock, pop, reggae, metal, hip-hop, and electronica.
*** Lesson Details/ What to Expect ***
You can expect a custom, fun and attentive one on one lesson. I am thorough and patient. I expect you to love music and put forth effort. I'm laid back, I will work as fast or as slow as you need. I prefer a total immersion technique and get my students playing right away. This boosts confidence and fosters interest because once a student enjoys playing you don't have to convince them to practice.
By the first lesson you will be familiar with the instrument and it's parts, and playing your first chord.
In 3-6 months you will be playing guitar with a greater knowledge of chords, basic harmony and be able to play scales and songs.
Once you have a foundation of chords we can explore more specific music subjects and lessons will become more personalized: songwriting, guitar tones, musicology, making a DIY record, shredding like a metalhead, I can guide you to help you achieve your goals.
I receive a very large number of student requests everyday, So to keep things organized please keep the following in mind:

Sound Yoga Therapy™ (SYT) developed by Teresa S., MMus, RYT is a foundational mindfulness based meditation approach rooted in Western musical theory and vocal pedagogy, North Indian classical music, yoga, Buddhism and other contemplative traditions. Sound Yoga Therapy™ sessions guide participants to allow sound vibrations to become "objects" of attention. Sound is used both actively and passively as created by vocal toning, tuning forks, other vibrating instruments and verbal instruction. Some of the benefits reported by participants of SYT are deep relaxation, increased vitality, enhanced concentration and physical, mental and emotional well-being.
I began teaching voice while I was getting a Bachelor's Degree in Music at the University of Texas. When I came to New York City I opened the Vocal & Dramatic Arts Studio in 1996. Since that time I
Education is one of my passions. Working for Lincoln Center and other arts presenters in New York City between 1996 and 2012, I created curriculum on music and art in public and private schools and have trained educators nationally and internationally on using music and art in their classroom lessons. I found that song writing and musical improvisation are great ways to integrate music with other curriculum within the Humanities.
Today in Miami Beach part of my work is using yoga, music and sound healing practices as tools to learn meditation and reduce stress.
Over the years, I have performed many styles of music: standard opera, contemporary opera and chamber opera, classical chamber music, musical theater and cabaret. Now I am exploring the ragas of India and Nada (Sound) Yoga practices and have developed a sound based mindfulness meditation practice called Sound Yoga Therapy™ or SYT. SYT sessions combine North Indian Classical vocal music with Western vocal pedagogy to elicit a relaxation response and then to focus the mind in order to activate the higher levels of the brain.
As a music, voice, yoga and acting teacher, I offer traditional and non-traditional methods using multi-sensory approaches to help students realize their goals. In addition to developing vocal, musical and theatrical skills, the tools and techniques offered aid students in relaxation, breath awareness, and stress reduction as a part of our lessons together. It is a creative, fun and student-centered learning environment for students of all ages!

Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan is the umbrella of all yoga branches. It is known to be the highest and thorough of yoga traditions. It utilizes meditation, mantra, physical exercises, and breathing techniques. It is best recognized as a Raj Yoga.
It is taught by encompassing the eight limbs of yoga as created by Patanjali, into a extraordinary practice of bliss. “Kundalini” is accurately defined as “the curl of the lock of hair of the beloved.” The metaphor of Kundalini refers to the movement of energy and consciousness that exists within each of us, and enables us to merge with – or “yoke” – the physical self with the universal. Combining individual and universal consciousness creates a divine union, called “yoga.”
Dating back to the fifth century B.C., the Upanishads, had defined Kundalini. However, it had been maintained as an oral tradition, which reaches further back into history then we have known. This sacred science, and the tools provided, was hidden, ...

I have been in my own practice/ inward journey long enough that I am confident I can pass on my knowledge in an effective and helpful manner. Meditation is the art of observance and surrender. It is key to allow observation of self in the absence of judgement. Meditation helps us to focus, be more alert, and open to ourselves and therefore the world around us, as well as the relationship between the two. This practice will exponentially improve many areas of your life, and assist on the journey of self-discovery.

I teach my own unique method of self-growth called adoga. Inspired by various forms of meditation and other self-growth techniques, adoga is a framework for applying, relating, and integrating a series of connected practices.
There is a certain progression that can be used in order to master the quite extensive adoga framework. First, the student is presented with a basic self-growth practice, perhaps a meditation of watching the breath for example. Then, the student is given subsequent, more advanced techniques in a series. Each practice provides a benefit, but each in a unique way. As the student learns a sufficient number of practices, the focus then shifts to integrating and synergizing the practices together, understanding their relationships, and the bigger-picture that they paint.
As you can see from this progressive outline, adoga is really in some ways best thought of as a meta-practice or a collection of practices. It is not just a simple collection though but a highly

As a student of Tibetan Lama, Tarthang Tulku Rinpoche, all of my meditation classes are a mixture of Tibetan Buddhist practices and my own intuition. I combine awareness of the body and the cultivation of one's own energy into each of my meditations. I believe that meditation should not have a “goal” and prefer to teach my students that allowing the practice to unfold as it will is much more valuable. My meditations focus on tuning into one’s inner feelings and breaking down internal barriers in order to experience peace, love, and joy.
