I have been voice instructor for long time. Here you'll learn the basic singing technique through a lot of pop songs. I play Guitar and piano when you are singing. We'll sing to karaoke backgrounds too. I do recording of your voice and after awhile we can work on a CD for you. Lots of fun.

I've been a professional singer and actress for over twelve years, performing on Broadway in Lincoln Center's Tony-winning Revival of "South Pacific" and touring the county with Rob McClure and Anika Larson in the First National Tour of "Avenue Q." I have an MFA in Performing Arts from Savannah College of Art and Design, graduated summa cum laude, and was the only female recipient of the Presidential Scholarship for Vocal Performance. My BA is in Arts and Education from Hobart and William Smith Colleges.

I teach all levels of singing and am familiar with different styles, like contemporary musical theatre, legit, belting, and pop/ rock. As an actor who sings I think it's important to connect with the text and let the vocal technique support those choices for the most compelling performance. My passion is creating audition cuts and crafting them into bite-sized yet complete scenes. Audition technique is key if you want to be in shows because someone has to cast you first. A-mazing! She’s an awesome mentor! Her approach to singing is brilliant in the sense that she helps you explore yourself, your strengths and areas you could work on to improve. She helps you find and utilize your voice in a way that makes a unique artist. She digs in right to the foundation of singing (vocals) and performing. I am glad to have found her! And to add up, I never had a dull moment with her with her sense of humor and caring approach!

Becoming comfortable as a vocalist is TOUGH. But there are simple tricks I’ve learned outside of just running scales. Lets enjoy our time expressing ourselves!

About Scott

Music fuels the soul!! Let's get learning and having fun. I play upright bass, electric bass, guitar, piano, drums, and sing. I also compose original songs and Jazz music. I am currently completing my Master's at Manhattan School of Music. In NYC I have played at Smoke Jazz club and have done many

Great instructor, very patient and knowledgable, Perfect for beginning players. Very chill, enjoyable experience.

I had no clue how to play a bass guitar. I was fortunate thru the college he was teaching at to be honored to have Scott teach me at my beginner level, the basics of bass guitar. His patience with me was much appreciated as again, this was new to me and at the time being 69 years old, I wasn’t a quick learner. After several sessions, I was able to play basic cords, study the notes on the frets thru his lesson plan. I was sad that Scott left the college for NYC, but was very happy for him as he wanted to pursue his masters degree. Thanks to his patience and excellent teaching skills, I was able to continue lessons with another instructor and not embarrass myself as I had minute skills that helped me become a little more than a beginner. I am still going at it and loving every second but it was Scott’s patience and teaching skills that kept the fire lit to continue pursuing my love of the bass guitar. I can’t thank Scott enough and I wish him well with his goal of a master’s degree.

Scott is a great teacher and an even better friend. His background in music makes him unlike any other instructor. I’d highly recommend him to anyone, at any skill level.

As a musical theater performer, I perform a wide range of genres from pop-rock to legit-musical theater! No matter if you're singing Adele or Rogers and Hammerstein, it's possible to sing all genres in healthy way so that your instrument keeps getting stronger, without losing the joy for the music. With a background in the Alexander Technique and Linklater, I emphasize a healthy approach to singing. Lessons will be catered to the student's individual goals and needs, but will focus on releasing unnecessary tension and building a strong foundation for the voice.

About Lauren

I'm a Broadway performer in NYC, and have played such roles as the Fiddler in the hit off-Broadway revival of The Fiddler on the Roof, directed by Oscar and Tony award winner Joel Grey (2019 Drama Desk Winner Best Musical Revival) and Reza in the national tour of Once (Tony winner best musical). I
