I have been teaching violin privately and in the classroom for several years now. I am finishing up my education in violin performance, and I will be continuing to a master's degree in violin performance within the next year.

I try my best to adapt to my students individual learning styles. Everybody is different, and it's my goal as a teacher to have my students reach an understanding for music and hopefully grow to have a love for it as well.

Violin was my first instrument I picked and have been playing for 25 years and still love it. Viola has my heart but violin was my first love!

Hello, my name is Bailey and I love teaching violin! I am a professional pianist and public school orchestra teacher. I have a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education and a Master of Music degree in Piano Performance from the Fredonia School of Music. I am a certified K-12 music teacher in New York State. I have been giving private lessons for 10 years to a variety of learners ranging in age and skill level.
My students walk away each week feeling empowered and confident in their abilities. I am able to push you while making you feel excited about new challenges. I am able to assess what you need, and offer you meaningful feedback in small, digestible chunks. Along with all of this, I make lessons fun! My teaching career began while I was a Conservatory graduate student. Teaching and performing are complementary aspects of being a musician. Instructing others provides a deeper, more thorough understanding of my own approach to playing. Several decades of performing in professional orchestras and chamber music ensembles grants a life time of practical experience to share with my students.

While the serious pursuit of a professional level of accomplishment on two diverse instruments such as the violin and the flute is unusual, the idiomatic characteristics of each one have given me unique insights into other. Over the years I have discovered concepts that have enhanced my performing and teaching of both. These ideas have allowed me to present an integrated approach and perspective for both instruments that not many other teachers would have.
