Singing .....for the very first time in my life.
I did an Internet search, and it turns out the universe was very good to me. I discovered Stephanie.
She is a beam of energy and positive light… That makes everything fun, interesting and exciting. She has a knack for mixing physical, mental and technical intricacies of music, voice and sound… with the ability to deliver it in a succinct, understandable package… that even a complete novice like me was able to digest, and to my surprise, eventually execute.
Personal discovery can be a very exciting event. This was certainly no exception. I have Stephanie to thank for this one!
I would highly recommend her for anyone searching for a music or voice teacher.
Next up… Piano. My teacher… well, Stephanie of course!

To be able to sing smoothly from your lowest note to your highest note regardless of how you feel is one of the many skills you gain from good vocal technique. Whether the high notes are challenging for you or the lower notes are challenging, singing on pitch, vocal strength or vocal consistency is an issue this can all be fixed with proper and healthy vocal technique. What I teach works quickly students usually hear of feel a difference on their first lesson.
Sounding good when you sing is not the only important part to a long singing career. To be able to do what you love throughout your life it is important to sing in a healthy way also. To be able to sing when you are healthy and rested is easy to some people however singing when you are tired, sick, stressed, fatigued or you have just stained your voice is another matter. Good vocal technique gives you the tools to sing in whatever physical shape your body is in. If you have vocal problems such as soft or hard nodules, pre or ...

Hello Singers in the making!
This class will help you improve, or learn, proper singing techniques; which will help you create your own beautiful, unique sound.
We will base the curriculum off of what your current level is.
- Your music is FREE, you will never need to purchase any sheet music when you are my student. I will make sure to get you a PDF of any music we work on.
- You will gain knowledge of the vocal anatomy; to use your instrument you must know how it works. So many people try to sing and they think they are bad singers, or believe they cannot sing. The fact is, you cannot sing properly unless you understand the structure of the anatomy that creates your sound. (To sing without knowing how your vocal folds, resonators, and lungs work would be like getting in a car and never being told what any of the gears do. It would be like baking without being told the ingredients.) You cannot "wing it", you have to know "how" in order to create a beautiful sound.

I have been teaching this subject for over 16 years. There is no specific curriculum as each student will come to lessons with their own unique skills, needs, and goals. Lessons are tailored to those specifics. It is not necessary to know how to read music at the first lesson for beginners. However, learning to read is required for subsequent lessons and will be a large focus for all non-readers. Music is not learned "by ear." A certain amount of theory will be a part of every lesson just as technique and repertoire. Concerning repertoire, it may be selected from the western classical, musical theatre, and popular rep based on the student's goals and learning needs with their input. The main emphasis on performance lessons, however, will be technique and reading. Students should come to the first lesson prepared to discuss their background & goals and the plan of their course of study.

Jesse is not only a good musician but also a great instructor. He understood that I was a novice singer and was really patient with me. He taught me the importance of breathing technique as well as how to identify and count the music. I hardly write reviews but felt that he really deserves to be known by more people seeking an instructor. I would highly recomment Jesse to any of my family and friend who wants to sharpen their skills in anything related to music!"
