I teach my students proper body posture which strengthens the core. Bowing excercise and scales begin each lesson before me move on to music. I encourage students to eat before the lesson and also excercise which can help alleviate nervousness.

I am currently a violin instructor and chamber music/ ensemble coach at University of Southern California. My previous teaching experiences include violin private lesson instruction and chamber music/ensemble coach at Yale University and New England Conservatory Preparatory School. I have been a teaching artist at Porterville Summer Strings for two summer seasons, giving individual instructions and coaching violin sectionals.

I love teaching children and adults of all ages. I am a bilingual (English-Spanish) violin teacher I have over 13 years of teaching experience. I specialize in the Suzuki method and participate in workshops, festivals and conferences yearly. I am fully trained to teach from complete beginners to semi-professional non majors. I love all kinds of music and I believe that learning music in a fun, structured environment benefits everyone.

My teaching philosophy is to provide each student the opportunity to find their passion, to understand who they are as an individual, and to create a sense of community within my studio family. Not only will I give them the tools they need to succeed musically, but most importantly, the tools they need to succeed in life. I want my students to be the best musicians they can be and to be the best versions of themselves that they can be. Abilities vary among each individual and I aim to take the time and the patience to understand and teach every student that comes my way. I am a patient, kind, and caring teacher who strives to show my students just how marvelous they can be.
