excited for this journey!!!"

My professional career has nothing to do with music. Learning violin again is a hard work. The physical challenge is there, the ability rapidly to develop muscle tone and memory “sadly just isn’t there anymore.” My right arm is as stiff as a 2x4 stud and left fingers slip. So, lighting dashes over strings will take longer – much longer - to perfect.
But, Tigran reminded me that he has not found any shortcuts and he has been looking for a long time. I resumed very basic finger exercises and routine scales. And the results were very slow but the reward was there.
Tigran is very structured and systematically approaching how to improve the intonation and tonal quality. So, I am happy to leave it up to him to take the lead."

To put this in perspective...I'm a very good piano player...one of the better ones in LA. Howard has the unique ability to immediately see what was wrong with my technique and showed me how to get past that log jam I was stuck behind. He not only helped me with my left hand...but his methods of how to practice totally opened up a whole new facility for me to the point where I can now play those Oscar Peterson pieces that I have loved since I was a kid and only dreamed of playing like that. Now..thanks to Howard...I can!
I could go on and on about Howard's virtues, not only as a teacher, but also as a mensch. Let me just add one more thing here. Howard can help anybody who has the desire to play the piano...from ALL levels of proficiency...from the very beginner to the top of the professionals. Bottom line...in my book...he's the best!"

I've been taking lessons from Roberta for a few weeks now and I'm very impressed. She's very knowledgeable and has a great way of teaching. There's absolutely no pressure and I feel very comfortable even when I make mistakes. I've played flute for a long time but I needed to "fine tune" some things so I definitely picked the right teacher! I would highly recommend Roberta to any flute player no matter what level you're on! (Just a note: Just in the first lesson I learned SO much! I was already sounding better!)"

Unlike most other musical instrument, your voice is something that you carry with you everywhere! This is perhaps why many beginners are less likely to consider how their practice space should be set up, and why they have more trouble with performances. Practicing singing is just like any other kind of practice, whether for music, the arts, or a sport. You have to establish a space where you can focus on what you're doing with the least number of distractions. Knowing how to practice will take …
