I love taking students and providing them with performance opportunities, whether it be for local open mic nights, auditions, or for fellow studio members. My ultimate goal is to have my students perform so that our work comes to fruition. Once we get to the point of performing we will rehearse with an accompanist and practice the techniques used for performing in whatever venue it might be.

My name is Evelyn and I'm 33 yo. I'm also transgender MTF and have always wanted to sing with my new voice. Jordan is incredibly patient and shows a lot of care for what I have tried to accomplish. Without her I would have been too afraid the let my singing voice be heard. I'm so lucky to have found a professional like her to help me find my singing voice during the journey of my transition. I highly recommend her to anyone who is new to singing or wants to improve their existing voice. She's worth every minute.

Mary was wonderful. I was apprehensive about my total ignorance of the instrument and my physical capacity to perform a task that involve the lungs. Since I am an old old lady this was a little challenging not only for me as a student, but also for a teacher. Experienced Mary knew how to inspire in me confidence. Her clear explanations gave me knowledge I needed, and little by little I became making the sounds that were so incredible amazing. Mary has a natural sweetness, a serenity that easily transmits determination, courage and faith. What a marvelous choice I made picking her as my instructor. I am optimist that one day I will play some of my favorites songs of my past happy days.
Laura
I have really enjoyed the lessons I got from Mary and learned a ton! I hadn't played clarinet for years but enjoyed starting to learn again and she helped make it a lot easier than just relearning on my own. I really recommend her as a teacher for any age student!
Andrea
Mary has the best sound concept and really teaches how to make a beautiful, expressive tone on the clarinet! She's has a lot of experience as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral performer. Mary is a wonderful professional musician, and the best teacher you could hope for! I've improved so much from taking lessons with her.

When you are looking for a good music instructor, these are the things you have to consider. 1. Price, 2. Location, 3. Teacher's experiences (resume), and 4. Characters of the instructor. The first three are easy to recognize from online information. The last one is hard to get, and yet , for us, the most important factor. Many instructors teach lessons only as a job (for money). They do things only during their "paid time." However, taking music lessons need more than that. A true music educator takes every opportunity to see the potentials of the student, knows how to coach individuals, and build up each student with encouragement and sometimes, discipline. He not only teach weekly lesson to help improved my son's skills, he also do extra to encourage students to go to concert, summer camp and perform at the nursing home. Every year, he arranged every details of a free concert with flyer, communications, equipment and even a professional cameraman! He did all those to encourage students to get out there to perform. We are forever grateful for his help for our son's college and scholarship applications. Mr. Rank is a "student oriented" teacher with a servant heart. If anybody is looking for an "all inclusive teacher, Mr. Rank is the best percussion teacher in DFW area. I can never thank enough for what he has done for my son. I hope my son will one day grow and become a teacher like Mr. Rank who care so much for his students.
Wendy
Kevin is an outstanding music teacher! He taught our child marimba lessons throughout middle school and high school. The benefits of his teachings were amazing. We highly recommend Kevin!
Bonnie
Kevin Rank is an outstanding teacher.! My son is just beginning his 5th year of lessons with Kevin Rank. In the last 5 years, my son has grown from a shy, unsure, extremely quite young man into a confident, 3 time all region percussion player. My boy has grown not only in his musical ability, but in his overall development. I am a strong believer that music is quintessential for all individuals. I am happy to have Kevin Rank helping my son to achieve his full potential as a percussionist and as a leader. He has made impressive advancements in his marimba playing, and Mr. Rank is instrumental in helping him achieve these goals.

"I am brand new to the cello. My first concerns were the ergonomics... how best to hold the cello, my bow, my string hand, posture etc. Victor gave very clear information on all of these and then was able to give exercises to help these. When we moved to the playing, it was the same clear progressive instruction that was a balance of rational progression and inspiration."

"Because of Fawn's expert and original methods, I have learned how to control my voice and pitch. Fawn is a great original and innovative teacher who teaches her students how to sing correctly, quickly, efficiently and best of all, how to sing for the rest of their life! She teaches the correct way to pull out your tones and pitches and really sing those high notes without hurting or damaging your instrument, and has helped me get deeper tones in my chest voice. My voice is richer, warmer and fuller than I could have ever imagined, even in my head voice. She has given me exercises no one else has, because she tailor makes them to each individual's needs. Some of her techniques literally work like magic! I look forward to many more lessons with Fawn because I know she will help me become the very best me that I can be!
Thank you Fawn :)"

Lace Up: How to Train Your Voice Like an Athlete

Singers, you’re more like an athlete than you might think. Sound crazy? Here, Los Angeles voice teacher Lorna E. shows how you can train your voice with that in mind… Have you ever thought of signing up for a marathon if you’re the type that gets tired running for five minutes? I’d say most people wouldn’t take a chance like that. Many singers, though, believe that they are ready to perform for hours in gigs or rehearsals even without any previous vocal technique endurance. Asking …
