Zelda started my lesson with the very basics, which I told her I really needed to avoid my getting frustrated (as I had when I originally tried to learn the ukulele all on my own). She taught me the names of the different parts of the ukulele and how to hold my instrument. Zelda also helped me properly tune my ukulele, taught me a mnemonic phrase to remember the names of the strings and taught me finger placement for my first two chords . . . all in a half hour lesson. Now I’ll practice strumming and changing between these two chords until it becomes more natural for me and we meet again for next week’s lesson!
SALLY
Have really enjoyed my singing lessons so far with Zelda! Scheduled them for enjoyment as a destress from work. Booked my next five lessons and am very excited

"TRY HIM, YOU'LL LIKE HIM!!!

As a blind retired executive, with a passion for good music, I decided to try to emulate Warren Buffet and his passion for the ukulele. Steve has been extremely patient with my difficulty finding the right strings with the right fingers, but nevertheless with a short training period under my belt, we feel I am making great progress. Not only is Steve patient, but he is music smart, interesting, and so accomplished with the equipment. I highly recommend him as a great instructor for another candidate with the desire to play!"

The word “ukulele” literally means “jumping flea,” due to the fact that the Hawaiians played all over the strings, jumping around as it were. Today, dozens of YouTube vloggers transpose popular songs for the ukulele, giving classic tune …
