Serena is very professional, communicates clearly, and is excellent in her craft. It is unfortunate that due to other family affairs, we are unable to continue with her.

I have a fluid teaching approach based on my REAL LIFE EXPERIENCE with an emphasis on improving technique, musicianship and a “truth is love approach” to ensure musical improvement within the first two weeks of lessons! I sincerely believe creating music should be a joyful & fulfilling experience and one that will be a positive change in someone’s life (as it has been for mine). I teach all genres of music on multiple instruments and specialize in audition preparation, real-life gig preparation and musical mastery. I want my students to reach their musical potential and aspirations, while having a good time doing something that they love.

As a professional musician who has been gigging since 2010, I am proficient in a plethora of different styles of music. A self-taught jazz musician who has performed under the direction of world-renowned jazz composer, Maria Schneider. I have also had the privilege of performing with regional symphony orchestras such as the Lima Symphony (OH) and Adrian Symphony (MI).
As an educator, I have been teaching trumpet lessons privately since the summer of 2014. Additionally, I have been a graduate teaching assistant at two different Universities, Bowling Green State University, and the Ohio State University.
I focus my teaching on making sure students have a good foundation that we can build upon. Students will develop tools they can use in order to problem solve and develop their own methods of practicing.
I received my bachelor's degree from SUNY Potsdam's, Crane School of Music. Crane is a world-renowned center for music education where I was fortunate enough to study closely with Dr. James Madeja, Dr. Peter McCoy, Dr. Marsha Baxter, Dr. Mark Campbell, and many others. While attending SUNY Potsdam
