I have been working with Nicola for the past 4 months and I would highly recommend her for anyone that is completely new to the French language. She is very flexible and willing to design the lesson to meet your goals. Nicola has a way of making learning a new language interesting, fun and non-intimidating. I have done both in-person and online lessons with Nicola and I find that both are equally as effective. I would highly recommend her for anyone looking for a French tutor.

Nicola has been tutoring my daughter in 7th grade French. She’s wonderful, speaks like a native, and is very reliable. My daughter’s French grade has improved dramatically! We are very happy with her, and highly recommend her to all.

We've only had one lesson but Nicola is smart and great at explaining as she goes. I'm an adult and love her teaching style, and I could also see her being great with kids!

Bonjour et Enchanté

My name is Fabrice and I am excited that you are considering French lessons with me.

French is not just a beautiful language, it is a culture and people rich in Liberté, Egalité, and Fraternité. With all of my students, we not only explore the richness of the language but also the expansiveness and depth of the culture, people, and of course the country.

I am confident in my ability to help you learn French in easy and fun lessons. I have helped students of all ages, most of whom have little to no experience with the language. Today, many of these, same, students are well versed in conversational French and able to read, write, speak, and explore the language and culture in ways they didn’t imagine. I have also worked with students who have a good understanding of the language and wish to brush-up on their skills or work to perfect the language as a native speaker.

I apply numerous strategies that will depend on how you like to learn, however, I ...

Fabrice is the ultimate French teacher. He’s a native speaker who brings, not only language, but wonderful tidbits of French culture to learning experience. He has geared tutoring sessions to meet my needs and interests. He is knowledgeable, interesting and funny. You won’t be disappointed!
Jon
I started taking French lessons with Fabrice three years ago when I was planning a trip to France to visit my in-law’s. After about three weeks, I had the confidence and basic language skills to feel comfortable speaking to native French speakers. About one month before my trip, I was speaking French pretty much fluently. Fabrice is personable, kind and very passionate about teaching French. His strategies, weekly challenges and attention to detail really have made this an enjoyable experience that I have continued with him for the past 3 years. Merci beaucoup Fabrice for being an awesome, qualified and competent French teacher. I recommend Fabrice without hesitation.

I have been taught French by Fabrice for over a year. After trying several different ways and programs to learn French over the past 4 years, I now know how valuable a good teacher in a foreign language is. I chose Fabrice on purpose because he is French and has a French accent that is easy to understand. He is awesome! Fabrice is always meeting my need where it is with written, spoken, and visual aids along with tips and shortcuts where appropriate. He is very astute at assessing my weaknesses and building on my strengths and always patient. I am not only learning the language, I am learning the culture. Fabrice is highly recommended!

I was elected to the Phi Beta Kappa honor society based on my achievements in the fields of chemistry and French. I have also enhanced my fluency in French by traveling abroad, including residing in France at the University of Poitiers as well as traveling abroad to Paris, Brussels, and Calais. I look forward to spreading my enthusiasm for foreign languages to others.

"Philippe Fadi is an excellent teacher who incorporates French history, current French podcasts and his personal experiences into his lessons. As a result, his lessons are very interesting. He focuses on learning French grammar and verb forms from the beginning so that the student is not just learning by rote. He is patient and conscientious with his students and encourages everyone regardless of their initial level of proficiency. I would recommend him to anyone who is eager to learn French ."

"Zach is awesome! After studying French in high school and college, working with Zach made me realize how many things I either learned wrong, remembered incorrectly or just never knew. He has made me much more conscious about verbal language production, and I find myself much better equipped to say more things correctly or course correct as I'm speaking. The variety of activities is excellent. All are practical and contemporary. The ability to learn and take chances in a non-judgmental environment has been wonderful."

"Phillipe’s greatest assets as an instructor are his adaptive, tailored approach; and his business/professional vocabulary (which “typical” French professors often don’t use or understand, in my experience). As a French national and native-French speaker, Phillipe was also able to identify some pronunciation issues that were affecting my clarity in speech.

Adaptive, Responsive Approach: From the beginning of our classes, Phillipe made it clear that we would target my unique learning needs. He then proposed a process to ensure that I provided him with critical feedback (every few lessons) so that he could adjust course.

This approach ensured that we maintained a common understanding of how I learned best and what areas we would target each week.

Turbo-Charged Vocabulary: Having worked in private sector and government, I was grateful that Phillipe helped expand my vocabulary in the domains of economics, history, social science, and regulation/public policy. (I have found that other French professors often struggle with the business/professional vocabulary that I need to used on a daily basis.)

A PRO for most, Phillipe did not get bogged down in grammar drills or exercises. Instead he takes the approach that worked the best for me -- to speak, correct, and speak, speak, speak."
