Piano is a wonderful instrument that anyone can learn at any age. From the first lesson I will have the student playing on the piano. I try to tailor the lessons for each student. We will move at your pace.
I am a 2008 graduate of the University of North Texas with a Bachelor of Arts in Music degree. While at North Texas I taught trumpet lessons in the Denton area. I have also taught piano, clarinet, and saxophone as well as all the other brass instruments. I have performed with the UNT Concert Band, the UNT Brass Band, the UNT Nine O'Clock Lab Band, the Collin County Jazz Band, and the San Jose Metropolitan Band.
Currently, I teach clarinet, saxophone, trumpet and piano in the DFW area. I also play trumpet in the both the Frisco Community Band and the Frisco Community Brass Ensemble.
*** Lesson Details *** I am a laid back teacher who gets you playing from the first day.
*** Studio Equipment *** All students are required to purchase the Musician's Practice Planner, which you can find at any music store. You will also need to g
et any books that we play through (but I'll give you time to get them, so don't worry.) Any books that we use will be easy to find and won't cost a whole lot of money.
*** Travel Equipment *** I will always bring my instrument with me when I attend a lesson, so I expect my students to do the same when they come to my studio. Also, make sure you have any books and music that we will be playing out of. I always have a copy of anything that we are playing, so I expect the student to have a copy as well.
*** Specialties *** Trumpet Clarinet Alto Saxophone Piano
I have been playing the piano for 10 years, but have been involved in the musical institution for much longer than that. I completed my education in Music Education and Classical Piano Performance from California State University of San Bernardino. During which time I have performed in many different locations across Southern California; such as The University's concert hall, The Steinway Piano Galleries of West Hollywood and Old Town Pasadena, and The Disney Concert Hall. I have also been shaping minds young and seasoned in piano technique and music theory for the last 8 years. And, I believe I am an ideal teacher for anyone just starting out, to those who are trying to continue from where they left off.
*** Lesson Details *** My first and foremost goal is to inspire a student to want to learn and thrive in their instrument. If I can
do this, my job along with theirs becomes that much easier. I try and do this by heavily incorporating the music that they identify the most with while strengthening their technique with a classical foundation. And, introduce a well-rounded set of incentives for each of their accomplishments.
*** Travel Equipment *** I provide sheet music and books, I expect the student to provide the instrument they would like to take lessons on.
*** Specialties *** Classical, Contemporary, Popular Song, Jazz & Blues, Show Tunes, Theme Songs.
Very knowledgeable and knows how to teach younger kids. My daughter really likes her piano lessons with Ryan and looks forward to it.

I can tell Ryan is going to be a great teacher! He already made my daughter so interested in piano, and brought on her excitement. At the same time, he was very professional and taught her so much in just 30 minutes while maintaining discipline. Not an easy feat with a 6 year old! Looking forward to the continued lessons!
Lessons are fun and encouraging. I specialize in preschool piano but teach all ages and abilities. Ages 3 and up.
Our music studio Sanoon Violin Academy offers early childhood music, piano and violin lessons. Private as well as group classes are available. Conveniently located near El Dorado and Ridge in McKinney.
I have been teaching piano lessons for several years now, to students ranging from 4 to 50 years of age. In the first lesson, students can expect to learn the musical alphabet, location of middle C, the correct posture and hand position, as well as some simple musical exercises depending upon the student's age and ability. My goal in teaching is to help people gain an understanding and appreciation of the piano, as well as the workings of music as a whole. While my background is in classical piano, I enjoy working with students on any style of music that utilizes sheet music.
A full-time operatic performer and music educator, Maureen Kelly has been teaching voice and piano lessons since 2009. She currently runs her own private studio, in addition to traveling to students' homes to teach lessons. She happily teaches anyone who has an interest and willingness to learn, regardless of experience.
Ms. Kelly received a Master of Music from the University of Maryland in 2017 with an emphasis in Opera Performance. In teaching, her goal is to find the optimal method for each individual student that will encourage them to grow and improve. She firmly believes that anyone who is willing to dedicate the time and effort to learning a new instrument is capable of doing so, and looks forward to helping new students achieve their goals.
Lessons are scheduled to best accommodate the student's schedule, and as such can be
at a regular day/time or determined on a weekly basis. Please be aware that Ms. Kelly is an opera singer who periodically travels for performances. As such, she may need to reschedule lessons from time to time, but will always give as much advance notice as possible.

I started off as an absolute beginner at singing and made a lot progress under Maureen's guidance. She is a very patient and knowledgeable teacher who prioritized proper support and healthy technique. I would strongly recommend taking lessons with her to anyone seeking to improve their singing.

Maureen is a fantastic teacher for anyone looking to improve their singing skills. I came in with no background in music, and she was very capable in assessing my level and getting me started on exercises and practices to improve my vocal control, posture, and more. She is very friendly and patient, and is always excited to practice and improve. I would definitely recommend Maureen for beginners and beyond who are looking to improve their singing.

I am a professional musician and educator. I have always enjoyed and been eager to share the musical knowledge that I learned from the very first music lesson I ever had; this feeling in me has never changed. I simply love to help people who want to learn new instruments. I am patient and encouraging, helping you to always believe in yourself and I believe and have the educational means to help you do it. Whether it is piano, guitar or some other instrument you want to learn, I can help you. I was became entirely dedicated to music when I was 14 years old. I learned Classical/Jazz/Pop Guitar, Piano and Flute/Recorder/Alto Sax. As soon as I started learning, I started teaching. In my church there were a lot of kids that didn't have the opportunity to learn music, so I volunteered and became their music teacher passing on to them whateve
r I learned myself. As I grew older, I kept on studying and teaching music as a church volunteer and noticed that my own skills would dramatically improve just because I was devoted to my student's learning. I pursued a degree in Music Education in New York City at the Aaron Copland School of Music. The education and experience I gained from college, drastically improved my teaching skills and I was able to work as a Music Teaching Assistant for a private school in NYC, a Senior Chess instructor for after school programs and a Private Music Studio teacher. Nowadays I am an active music teacher and performer, looking for new students and opportunities to share the love of music. I always reach out to people who have musical interests and want to further develop or experiment with music.
I had my very first lesson today with Sal, and I’m excited about some very cute things he taught me in just a short period of time. He is very talented, approachable, enjoyable to work with, and knows what he’s doing. I look forward to learning and growing with him.

This brief lesson was helpful, especially since its my first time learning. I learned a few chords and now have some homework to do. Very personable and straightforward! I just moved back to Dallas and needing some instructions to finally get started.
15 years ago, I started learning the piano and began my life-long pursuit of music. This pursuit has led me in a wide variety of directions. Today, I am currently a doctoral student at Wheaton Graduate School and hope to teach others the joy of playing the piano in my free time.
I have a passion for a wide variety of styles of music. For several years, I played professionally for weddings, shows, and musicals. I have led worship for churches in Michigan and Connecticut. At Yale, I was president of an organization called Yale Musical Cure, in which I played piano in hospitals, hospices, and charity concerts. While at Yale, I also studied theory, piano, sight-singing, and composition.
My teaching style varies from student to student. Music is a wonderfully diverse subject and every student has his own aspirations. I will do my best to cater each lesson to the student's goals and interests whether that is classical piano method, rock, jazz, folk, country, pop or anything in ...

Lessons will vary significantly from student to student. Not only does every student have different goals in mind, they all learn differently as well. I do my best to customize my lessons for each student's goals and needs. A typical piano lesson may involve music-reading, chord studies, technical work, scale practice, theory, and of course learning songs!
I am a flexible teacher and am excited to teach students to truly understand music and enjoy playing the piano. Please reach out if you have any questions or interest in taking lessons.
"He was experienced and very caring for my daughter to feel comfortable. It was a first piano lesson for my 7 year old and she bragged about how she enjoy
ed the class. I am so glad that we found him!"
"This only the first few lessons we've had with Rebekah, but I've seen a marked change in the way my daughter is playing piano. She seems enthusiastic and
directed as I haven't seen her been before and she has been taking piano from two other teachers in the course of five years. Thank you Rebekah!"
"Molly is extremely patience. I never feel stressed during the lessons even after returning to the piano after not taking lessons since she was in junior h
igh. Molly is very flexible with scheduling and understanding of personal matter! Great teacher would not want to work with anyone else!"
"Great with my girls, on time and very patient. We are new to the piano, and he does a great job working at their level. He is also very kind and fun to
"Undoubtedly the Fur Elise of piano teachers! This is the second teacher for my little one and just after the first lesson, the difference in Lana’s style
of teaching when compared to the previous teacher was quite apparent. The professionalism and the ability Lana consistently exhibits to conjure the personal motivation out of my little one to excel in piano is simply amazing. We have been taking lessons from her for over a year now and my daughter has made strides in reading sheet music, playing steadily, and being more comfortable playing in front of others. When friends and relatives come over they have noticed a difference in her play and have asked what we have done differently. The first time someone asked, my daughter replied “Lana” and I couldn’t help but laugh a little as I was not expecting her to even respond. Lana is an exceptional piano teacher whose love for music is infectious and I would highly recommend!"
"Both my son (over a year of piano lessons) and now my daughter (just started to learn to sing) take music lessons from Mr. Bijan and they both love it. H
e has a calm personality and a way with kids which I think brings out the best from his students. Extremely patient and changes the pace as per the students. My son has been learning piano for 3 years and had his moments of struggle but was good to see Mr. Bijan work with him and successfully motivated him to get back on track."
"Corinne is extremely thorough and is very patient with me. I'm brand new to music, and she has made me feel very comfortable. I know I'm on track because
the habits and memorization techniques she teaches are very effective. Also playing duets with her are so fun!!!"
"Wonderfully warm and inviting. My daughter is already excited and practicing."
