Cello with William L.

Good Instructor. Communicates well. Cello specialist and very good at it! So far my son's favorite as he is motivated and looks forward to going to his lesson. You really can't ask for more than that!

I've had a lot of past experience with instruments growing up with band and guitar, but Will was my first ever cello instructor. He was absolutely fantastic and one of the best music instructors I've ever had. He was there to guide me every step of the way. When I was first learning proper bow techniques he didn't hesitate to offer advice on how to improve my form and wasn't afraid to give me honest critiques, which made me aware of what I could be doing better. While learning scales he showed me not just where to put my fingers on the instrument but also how to listen to the pitch itself and compensate and create a beautiful sound. Without him I would not have been able to learn so much on the cello and I am thankful he was here to share his knowledge. You cannot find a better teacher than Will!

I have had the pleasure of learning from William for the past year while he was completing his undergrad in Delaware. William Locke is a great instructor for any level cellist. His passion and dedication to the arts and what music has to offer to every individual is inspiring and helped me get to where I am today. Anyone who gets the chance to study with William is making the right step towards becoming a well-rounded cellist.
