If you are a beginner I will have you playing at least one basic rock beat on a drumset before your first lesson is over. If you are at intermediate or advanced levels I will help improve your technique, independence and knowledge of rhythms. All ages and all levels are encouraged to contact me. I have performed and/or recorded with such notables as Blackbyrd Mcknight, Flea, Hillel Slovak, Slash, The Coasters, The Drifters, Scarlet Rivera, Joe Huston, Bill Mumy, Miguel Ferrer, Jeff (Morris) Tepper, Bruno Coon, Chalo Eduardo, Jorge Bermudez and many other LA artists. I have performed across the US and Canada, performed in South Korea, Caracas Venezuela and in Rio's official Carnival parade in the Sambadrome in Brazil I have been teaching drums for over 40 years starting when I was 15 years of age. Of my first four students, three of them made the all district band and orchestra, two of them made it into the All Southern California bands and orchestras and one made it into the All California Orchestra. Since then I have had a number of successful students who tour nationally and internationally. They include Claudia Rossi of the Halo Friendlies, Chango Von Streicher of Throw Rag, Seven Bailey with Lauryn Hill and Mark Spiller who's band Quinto Sol has performed at Bob Marley festivals and recently opened for Ziggy Marley. Currently I am teaching at my home studio where I am set up with both electronic and acoustic drum sets. If you choose to do so, I am also set up to record you playing along on your own or playing along with your favorite bands.
