About Richard
I have studied, performed and taught music for over 30 years. Accordion was my first instrument at age 7 which was a great introduction to the keyboard, melody and harmony. That was followed by guitar and other stringed instruments (Banjo, Ukulele) as well as drums. I studied with great teachers in the past as well as at the Berklee College of Music in Boston. I have also performed at the Cape Cod Jazz Festival, The Bakersfield Jazz Festival and numerous club dates and private functions throughout New York, New England and California.

*** Studio Equipment ***

*** Specialties ***
Depending on student interest, I teach numerous styles (Rock, Blues Jazz improvisation) by reading music or by ear. Some students are more visual while others are auditory learners. Whichever is best for the student.

I would highly recommend Sierra to teach all levels of flute lessons! From beginner to advanced! I have been taking flute lessons from Sierra for the past two years and she has taken my playing to the next level. She has helped me develop the proper breath control, pure sound and technique that I needed to give me the next push into mastering the flute. Sierra is an amazing musician, teacher, and person. She works with all ages and levels, and is extremely patient and gracious as a teacher. She will show you everything you need to know and more! I respect her greatly as a person and a player and you will not regret working with her!

Sierra is a fantastic teacher. Extremely knowledgeable and well-informed, Sierra made me feel accommodated and in good hands. Providing a more youthful perspective on classical music, she welcomed different methods that I wanted to try when it came to approaching technique. Sierra also is fresh out of undergrad and is on the road to her masters degree, which is super helpful for students who are in the midst of the application process for colleges. Thank you so much, Sierra, and I look forward to taking more lessons soon!

I'm an adventurous person in life, and always look to see where I fit into society and the world out there. Music is my tool, to explore my creative and imaginative self. It's a pleasure traveling around the world, and blending in yourself with others who grew up in a different area than you have, and especially through, music. And it'll be greater of a pleasure to pass down my ideals about music and guitar through a way that would help people enjoy themselves and inherit what they learn to their daily lives.
