Hi! My name is Max. Music is my life- I play 5 to 7 nights per week around the NW and love sharing what I know about music with my students. I teach out of my home studio. I grew up in Seattle and have close ties with the local music scene as well as the local music directors in the schools (I attended Eckstein MS and Roosevelt HS). Following my time at Roosevelt, I spent four years in Boston and came back as a graduate of Berklee College of Music. My primary focus is on jazz music but I cover other styles including hip-hop, various west African styles, various central and south American styles, rock, R&B/soul, funk, and classical percussion.
