I have been a teacher in private practice for 22 years. I have a wide range of experience with singers of all styles and age groups with a variety of goals and skills. I have directed the youth praise & worship team and directed the kids choir Christmas musicals at my church. I have helped many of my students prepare for auditions, such as Muny Kids, school musical auditions, college music auditions, etc. Many of my students have gone on to study either music education or performance in college. *** Lesson Details *** Lessons are fun, comfortable and laughter is encouraged. Since there is already a love of music from the student, I highly encourage that by allowing the student to select a song/songs that they would like to start with. I then begin to add song selections according to the level they are at. I believe in positive reinforcement, but do require practice time at home, as well as theory work at home. All will be reviewed at lessons. In 3-6 months you will have a very good understanding of how your voice works and how to apply good technique to a variety of styles of music. *** Studio Equipment *** piano in living room with couches seating for parents
